I have to ask why is SLR getting away from the beautiful houses and great story lines that had made them the best in the business? Naughty America has been doing an even cheaper version of this with a white room. I really hope this isn't the direction the site is heading.

You're not wrong about a streak of scenes that follow this visual aesthetic, but as near as I can tell it's coincidental. Having looked through the photos of all the upcoming shoots & releases, I can assure you that there's plenty of scenes coming up that will probably be more in-line with what it sounds like you'd like to see.
You can even take a look in the "SLR Backstage Pass" thread or the r/SexLikeReal subreddit if you haven't before and see some of the pics from recent shoots.
