This is my first post here, so any guidance and CONSTRUCTIVE (🤣) criticism regarding where I posted this, etc., is welcum!

I was wondering if anyone else here feels the way I do about Compilations and how they are categorised, how they affect an actresses profile, and how they affect the Notifications we get.

I have no problem with Compilations at all. I've seen some that are just so incredible and creative. A lot of work must've gone into many! But countless times I've heard of a new Actress and searched for their profile only to discover that they have, in some cases, 1 ORIGINAL scene listed and (again in some cases) up to 10 Compilations using clips from that one scene.

Also, when I log into SLR for the first time in a day, I may have lots of Notifications, but almost all are for Compilations that include an actress I have liked. No NEW content other than that.

I just feel a little frustrated by getting, basically, sometimes a dozen or more Notifications about the same single post/scene, and by searching for an actress where it may say they have 40 scenes for example, yet only a few are original scenes.

Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

Hemicharger As a creator of PMVs/Compilations, the last thing I want is for my stuff showing up to annoy people, so I hear you. I believe they're working on a toggle switch that would function like the JAV switch, so you can view them when you're in the mood, and hide them when you're not. Haven't heard anything about a timeline on that.

In the meantime, you can hide individual studios, but that's a more long-term solution as you have to do it manually (and undo them manually if you want).

Mutiny In the meantime, you can hide individual studios

Those who are really not into compilations could also hide the entire niche tags (compilations, PMV) as a temporary fix until there is a toggle.

For popular performers like Blake Blossom and Melody Marks approx. two thirds of all videos are compilations, and in Melody's case that's more than 50. So it's all about quantity, not the work that you do as a creator.

        hey guys,

we are very close to releasing the compilations toggle, I hope that will lead to better experience browsing the page.

99% of the notifications I get are for new scripted scenes. These are relentless and overwhelm any other notifications. I log in, 30 notifications for scripts. Guys, I always check the new scripts page, I've bought hundreds of them, but please tell me how to turn off the new script alerts so other notifications (like replies to my posts) don't get lost in the crowd. Thanks 🙂

        hey,

we will check how to update the notification system for more functionalities.

let me know if you have any other ideas/suggestions about notifications and we'll see if we can find a good solution.

Mutiny I should have replied over a year ago, sorry about that! Thanks for your suggestions. Please understand that I have no problem at all with compilations. I've watched many, and like I said, the work and quality is amazing.
I just think they should be categorized and filed in a separate category as they almost always have multiple actresses, and as you know, cause an actresses file to be swamped with content that is not an original scene (if you can understand my meaning.).

Thanks to everyone for the attention and suggestions!

Thank god for the block option - i detest compilations

Wow , thank god this wasn't my post as i got bored jumping through the hoops of compliance.

Seriously, could you make the forum any more boring.... i'm so fucking bored of jumping through hoops and captcha shit

Is that the idea to bore people to death ?

xeddin1 I didn't know Mutiny isn't here any more, but thanks for letting me know. As for the compilation toggle, I know there's one on the website, but I've tried in DeoVR, and nothing like that works in the app.

I guess by the sound of crickets I am the only one who thinks is an issue.
