Hey, this message gets pretty annoying. WE KNOW we need a VR headset to play the videos, so please stop the pop-up messages when we just want to browse the site on desktop. Maybe display it once only, then never again. Imagine if every time you went on Amazon a pop-up appeared saying "YOU NEED AN ADDRESS TO BUY THINGS ONLINE".

I wanted to share my thoughts on this thread, but I couldn't find the right time and place to write. The fact that this thread was created is absolutely hilarious and had me laughing when I first saw it. It was a smart move, especially after Kendra's thread had some posts deleted for being off-topic or negative. If every post you disagree with gets deleted, then the only ones left in the forum will be @doublevr and @justsomedude101 talking to each other. Oh, and let's not forget that @LordCrash is missing from that opening post, haha!

The way I see it is that @doublevr took a bold step a few months ago by bringing together both directors, some staff members, and subscribers. My guess is that it was an attempt to populate the forum and create a pleasant interaction, something that other studios would never do. However, the opposite seems to have happened. The old users started acting like directors themselves, providing incredibly detailed feedback and even going too far with it. For newcomers to this forum, it's intimidating to see that the most active users have over 500 posts and extensive knowledge in this industry. It's almost impossible for someone new to catch up and contribute on the same level. So they just leave the forum after one or two posts.

My take on this is maybe they reconsidering things now and carefully trying to close the door they opened since it didn't really work. As Rakly3 kinda confirms it. This is just my interpretation, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

doublevr A special thread for @spacepirate @Will65 @rerun119 and everyone who thinks everything is wrong so we don't have to hi-jack every other thread.

They don't necessarily think everything is wrong, they are simply more inclined to focus on sharing the negative aspects of the scenes. Which IMO can be even more beneficial for driving improvements than positive feedback.

But this shouldn't be something upsetting to the point of creating a whole thread for it which hasn't proven effective so far, especially considering that there is already some balance with members like @n4meless8, @g2kbuffetboy, and the newcomer @bigloverofcoffee69, who provide mostly positive feedback, among many others.

[deleted] think of this as unmoderated thread. From now on we will be removing those bad ass comments from everywhere but this thread.
Actually it's only a few problematic posters that have got too far with their negativity. There won't be any more moderation or rules than we are otherwise used to

    @doublevr

WTF is this? So you guys add a different background to a film and call it a new release?

This is supposed to be better than having the model sit for a 15-min interview where she talks about herself? If you guys have a few hundred to pay an editor to do this you could tip the models something extra for a little show and tell and interview.

Serena Hill is very new and would be ideal for a solo teaser and sexy talk, maybe with some dancing (20 minutes film time, at most!).

    https://i.imgur.com/XPUtiG2.jpg

[deleted] While it isn't a new release, I at least appreciate that they made that unwatchable PT video into something others could enjoy. I was looking forward to Serena and the passthrough nonsense was a big disappointment.

[deleted] The majority of users tend to leave feedback, share their complaints, talk about things they loved or things they hated, etc. across relevant threads or in the scene comments. In other words, they share their thoughts in the intended way and using methods that logically "make sense".

      The challenge is

1.) what to do about the relatively small percentage of users who abuse the ability to comment by spamming what are essentially their personal complaints across numerous threads that are completely unrelated to their complaint, and

2.) at what point those complaints cross the red line of being specifically intended to deter other users from enjoying the experience or subscribing to the site.

metichemsi I don't know if you know but I thought they were going to make it so they could remove the background on every video. That way we didn't need this kind of greenscreen nonsense.
That girl is so hot in her latest VRTaboo scene. Why would I watch a CGI background video if I could watch 20,000 other videos with a real background. If they did it the other way around like they said they were going to do then it fixes both problems.

The latest Nympho scene is finally an overdue decent scene by SLRO! Loved Angel Windell again as the "nympho client" who kept up her energy over the length of the scene! I dig her shorter hair!

What is nice that SLRO started to incorporate spitting, body worship and facelicking, elements prevalent in JAVVR that make the scene more immersive.

If SLRO can continue making scenes of this type (not really found in other studios), then the trajectory is only going to be upwards.

Rustam1990 If they made these types of scenes and put out a script to them within a week like they use to do then they would be back to their ways of 2 years ago.

catflap no need to change anything on my account

By and large, I am satisfied. Otherwise I wouldn't be renewing my membership. However, there are areas for improvement. 1. They'd certainly benefit from an 'apply here' button on the homepage for amateurs who might want to make a VR debut. 2. It's insane that they throw away much of the best content by doing publicity stills without a VR180 camera recording the action. 3. They could make better films by cutting the administration costs and paying the models a premium for exclusive activities (like they do at BackroomCastingCouch), and for finding newer and more conventionally attractive models.

rerun119 they are going to release that update, it's just not ready, they are simply testing the CGI backgrounds to see how good they look and what people think, once they release the update you will be able to swap these out or use passthrough, whichever you prefer and whatever your headset supports. It will be good.

metichemsi I meant removing the background on every video. So they don't have to film in front of a greenscreen.

metichemsi once they release the update you will be able to swap these out

I don't want to swap out the background. I want a real background they can remove for PT.

SLR said they are still working on it.

[deleted] they are censoring the percentages

Meta does the exact same censoring on my Q(Anon)2!!!1!!1! They don't want me to know the percentage of how empty my battery is. What are they trying to hide?

[deleted] I'd love to know the percentage of downvote on this. I joined reddit just to see, but they are censoring the percentages that they used to show 🙁

@doublevr This is exactly why you need a new casting agent.

r/oculusnsfw popularity isn't the best gauge (to put it lightly), and there is always more to the story. For example - getting Connie's scene and our content in front of thousands of her fans, including a LOT of people who very likely aren't familiar with VR content.

The perception and bias of select users on this thread is very telling. The condescension of the kink and model preferences shaming is straight up inappropriate. We each have different preferences and reasons to consume VR adult content. There are people like me who primarily consume content with vanilla models who have enhanced features like breasts, lips, and ass because it lets us escape into fantasy land. Likewise, there are other people who like to consume content with models who have the natural body type for their own reasons.

I don't understand why there is such an outcry from some users who are saying SLRO is leaning towards models with enhanced body parts or tattoos when the data says otherwise.

I wrote a bit of code to pull model attributes from freeones.com that have been featured in SLRO BG scenes released since the start of 2023. I excluded group SLRO scenes such as BGG, BGGG, since it will take a bit of time to code and only comprised of a few releases for the year. If we look at this objectively with the content rolled out since January 1 2023, over 70% of SLRO BG scenes exclusively features models with no breast enhancements. Freeones.com has some missing data points and models (data has NA or Unknown) but having a quick look at these subsets they are mostly or if not, all natural which would push SLRO scenes featuring upwards of 80-85% of models that are considered natural for this year's BG scenes. Tattoos are a bit harder to quantify since Freeones.com only gives yes and no as well as some location information. However, the majority of heavily tattooed models also have enhanced breast which would effectively be putting SLRO featuring mostly natural and low to moderately tattooed models.

The disclaimer here is that I'm assuming Freeones.com is accurate but having a quick glance it looks quite solid but happy to edit if people think there are mistakes.

            Link to the data

jaybrahhh03 oh wow. Great job on that 🔥

I expected this thread to get fully insane. Yet we have got out of proportion dose of reason and those causing the disturbance are mostly out.

Will65 We miss you! Please let us know where you are shooting for!

+1 for sure! From twitter, I saw that @vrfanservice and Blake Blossom shot a scene for RealJamVR:

Bucket619 check out all the scene ideas i posted 🥹 let me know what you think!

Fyi @Bucket619 I was chatting with @vrfanservice and he apologizes he can't respond to your post at the moment (he's lost access to forum).

[deleted] I'd love to know the percentage of downvote on this. I joined reddit just to see, but they are censoring the percentages that they used to show 🙁

@doublevr This is exactly why you need a new casting agent.

Reddit upvotes/downvotes hardly mean anything. And also you have to realize that people on oculusnsfw aren't necessarily even SLR subscribers, or even pay for their porn.

On the other hand, if you look at the comments of the scene on SLR, yes it's obvious she is a controversial casting pick, but it's also very clear that there are some really happy and ecstatic Connie fans that finally get to see her in VR. Why rain on their parade? And why create an account on Reddit just to downvote it? What harm does it do that SLR releases a scene that you don't like, but others do? Let everyone have their cake. SLR releases 3-4 scenes a week, the most of any studio. Not every scene has to please EVERY person on this site. That's not even a possible feat to begin with.

jaybrahhh03 I don't understand why there is such an outcry from some users who are saying SLRO is leaning towards models with enhanced body parts or tattoos when the data says otherwise.

uhh there is only a single user in the entire thread who is being vocal on this particular topic.

True. But no one pirates SLR, even on the sites blocked in America. Well, maybe there is torrenting, of videos downgraded to unwatchable quality.

spacepirate when the data says otherwise.

The post has multiple likes. Most folks are too polite to say the obvious.

By all means disregard my feedback if you think these models are a source of profit.

Doing it for @Will65. that's the only right thread for your comments like this

                    Will65
I'm pretty sure I am going to cancel my script sub if this is what we are going to get. These scripts are worse than the Handy-generated ones, and I thought those were pretty bad. But if people keep subbing for it (and they keep silencing anyone who complains), they'll just keep pushing it.

Let's keep the rest of this forum away from your negativity about every single thing.

                    and the one for @spacepirate

by special "souce" he means free and open source software called ffmpeg. you can try it yourself, if you can be bothered.

This thread is the best place for those comments. It's all yours 🔥

That's because we get them all removed.

spacepirate i don't want to comment that bs. This is the right place to keep it.

Ban was because you didn't keep it to this thread

Rakly3 That's because we get them all removed.

Most companies are in no way effective at this, or lack the resources to take on the pirates. Especially given that they can't find the stuff since America has it's own private Internet. I hesitate to call what I see in America even an Internet, it's like a big Intranet.

My point @Rakly3 was that the Reddit group has feedback suggesting that the users watch your films. Or at least that's what a quick impression suggests. Second quick impression -- Reddit is creepy as fuck, and I won't be posting there; wow, it's impressively creepy. (I had an account many years ago, and it wasn't that nuts!)

So I can say anything here, right? I guess @doublevr cannot handle any criticism when he talks out of bothsides of his mouth. On the thread "Discussions about other studios"

@rock1515 wrote "I am a bit worried about SLR with the release of vrfanservice. IMO he was top notch and was extremely creative."

@doublevr responded with " vrfanservice was super hit or miss

Otherwise they had indeed some out of the box ideas. It's still not revolutionizing the format like I'm looking to

I wrote "some of your other producers are not "revolutionizing the format right now either.

@doublevr then deleted the post and sent me a privite message saying "this is my final warning' and I can only say anything negative in this thread.

So VRfanservice made some of the best revolutionizing videos and got fired but (since I can say anything here) Alex Mack makes the complete opposite of revolutionizing and I pointed out the hypocrisy, I have been warmed.

Doublevr starts a new thread "How do we make SLR cool?" EVERY POST says the same thing. Make multi stories, make the scenes more immersive, make longer intro,
examples if you didn't read that post:
@Rustam1990 SLRO: Longer scenes with story.
@Kolaches The worst VR scenes are the vanilla ones with nothing going for them
@MickyCheese VR porn is like entering a new reality. The immersion is what hooks people in and will help SLR improve retention rates
@Vrsumo2017 **going to actual strip clubs, I could sit and enjoy the scenery drink a few beers watch the hotties strip
@petergriff When I see a woman in a scene, I already know I'm going to see them fuck. I'm willing to wait for it. Spending time with them, doing things together, joking or teasing with them, making them feel like real characters, that's the good stuff that got ignored

All I have done as a frequent consumer is to try to tell SLR that the formula of cranking out video after video with none of the above even considered is a big mistake. You ask what can be done to make it better and everybody tells you including me but you don't want to hear it because it goes against you making maximum profit. You said it yourself Doublevr. I guess you only want people to say you are the best ever to make VR and are going everything perfect.

Also I don't go on other sites telling them they are not making great stories. Do you know why, because they have never shown the ability to make @alexnash great long slow buildup story. Only SLR really has done that. Really only @alexnash has shown that ability.

So, you SLR are the only ones to really ever do it correctly on a consistent basis. The top of the mountain being 2 years ago. Since then, it has slowly over time got less and less often. This is where all the complaining comes from. You had it figured out. Then you started to add new teams and a lot more scenes that did not hold up to this standard. You now have as your main guy not even trying to make what made SLR different. Why don't you have Mack go to a Nash shoot to see how he does it. Can this hurt in some way. Mack is shooting what any other studio can shoot. Less than other studios.

Again Macks latest scene "Caught Web Camming" your dick is out in 2:28 in. Then it is no talking with the same positions that all the other studios have been going for years. This is not revolutionary at all. I tried to watch it because it has a same day script but it was so uneventful and boring that I had to stop.

I know @doublevr that this kind of criticism is hard for you to take but it's to make you understand what it looks like from my end of the headset. If another studio makes a boring scene like this I don't say anything because I didn't expect anything more.

If you want to be just like anybody else than just say it and I will stop trying to give you feedback on the short coming.

Strong leaders engage their critics and make themselves stronger. Weak leaders silence their critics and make themselves weaker.

Silencing is the last, best tool of a desperate person with no counter-argument.
