Rustam1990 Yeah seems like this one is probably a one off @vrfanservice farewell scene. Nothing SLRO produced after is remotely near it in terms of being a complete VRP experience.

True story. And that's what SLR should imho think about all day long and put all their focus on:

Why was there no other SLRO VR scene in the last 5 months that received more than 8k likes?
What can we do and how can we produce VR content in order to get so many likes again?

doublevr No one else is shooting these for some reason

PT keeps people using your app, so you would have more of an incentive to pursue it than other studios. You guys also just have a very very heavy focus on tech that others don't typically have the interest/resources for. The closest I've seen is VRCosplayX experimenting with CG backgrounds but they abandoned it quickly after a ton of negative feedback.

I'm generally passthrough neutral if only because most non-passthrough scenes take place in boring and uninspired environments too, so it's a wash for me.

LordCrash This scene by the way has the most likes of any SLRO scenes in the past 6 months:

This is pretty frustrating too because I keep getting told that directors aren't interested in making scenes with longer stories and set-ups and that users don't actually want that, while at the same time, acting like all of the content lives and dies by the like counts. Sounds to me like users want more scenes like this and aren't getting them.

LordCrash Why was there no other SLRO VR scene in the last 5 months that received more than 8k likes?
What can we do and how can we produce VR content in order to get so many likes again?

I predict both Layla Jenner scenes , the solo one and and the one with Molly Little. Also potentially the Lily Lou one will surpass +8k likes after 5 months of release.

The answer to your question is because Modern Relationship has been released well over 5 months ago now. I don't buy it's because of the direction - I think it's because the women/girls are hot as fuck, that's the common underlying factor. Beauty just oozes out of all of them. Layla Jenner may even surpass 10000 likes as whether she does it on purpose or not she is controversial to say the least and right now only SLR and VRSPY have her.

doublevr With the every new headset hitting the market there will be even more demand for PT

This makes the assumption that, given better passthrough cameras in the headset, everyone would want PT scenes. Sure, there are bound to be people here on Quest 2 who want to upgrade to Quest 3 so they can have better passthrough and will value and want PT content when they do. But there are people who don't want PT at all because they don't like the concept and are not interested in it. I'm one of them. How many people are there like me? I don't know. Without doing some actual audience research, neither does SLR. Likes aren't necessarily a reliable metric; I enjoy plenty of videos, but I have 'liked' precisely one scene in my time on here. It's not something I reflexively do because, in all honesty, I'm over 30 (and then some) and I didn't grow up on social media apps.

Also, fans of a thing make more noise about that thing. PT fans will make lots of noise about how great PT is and how there should be more of it and more 'realism'. PT non-fans don't necessarily spend lots of energy saying that they don't like it, because they don't want to harsh some else's mellow. But I think if you ever got to the point of saying 'all content will be PT by default' (not that I think you will, but for the sake of argument) then plenty of people would come out of the woodwork to say that they don't want that. I'm quite sure of that.

This is potentially the most polarising debate in VR porn. It hasn't gone that far yet because so far, no-one with the power to make it happen has suggested either getting rid of non-PT or getting rid of PT. We should be able to co-exist. But if the assumption is that we're just waiting for better headset tech and then PT/AR will eventually be the standard, I'm pretty sure some people will have a big problem with that.

LordCrash and sadly 0% of them are a Raw Taboo scene. We just need to have more Raw Taboo scenes but not random models, those scenes has to be with models who can play the role. You can cast people from ManyVids for example. They are great roleplayers and can nail the dirty talk. Otherwise most "taboo" scenes are vanilla and not taboo at all.

I think SLR is betting too much on PT. Honestly I did try it, and I think it's cool and all but it's a gimmick in the end, and really hard to actually enjoy all positions. I also thought old PT scenes with the guy body not in green were also useless because it kills immersion and PT, yet these are loved?!
The only position you can really align is cowgirl or reverse cowgirl and that's about it.
Tried to align myself spending 20min in settings with missionary and doggie, and I couldn't.
Reason is, Simsense isn't that good of a producer because the default distance/angle for doggie and missionary are not realistic at all, and because the video is not rendered in 3D (obviously), you cannot really move it as much as you want.
Example, if you try to actually try to be "on top" of the girl, then it would be like she is going up and down, through the bed, every stroke 😃
Also another reason, in missionary or doggie, you will move a lot more the body than in cowgirl, which makes the girl move and unalign every stroke.

While it works great in cowgirl, it makes it a bit limited and in the end, having a black & white setting of my apartment isn't worth all the hassle.

@doublevr thinks problem is because it's not in color and blurry that for now it's a gimmick but I HIGHLY doubt Q3 will change much what people already think about PT. I myself think it's a great idea, but not the future nor a replacement for actual VR scenes.

I wouldn't trust much on the likes of the scene to know if PT is good or not. Lately their PT casting is amazing, and I myself enjoy watching them without PT too.
These likes make no sense because Simsense guy is quite a terrible director compared to Onthetelly or Alex Nash: many scenes the girl is not looking at the camera and only 1 eye. Britt Blair scene is unwatchable yet it gets lots of likes. Why, that's a mystery?
If such poor producing happened with Alex Mack (which I don't like either), people would have trashed his scenes. Proof that people actually liking these scenes are not die hard porn fans like we are, pestering about every small issue and will just be here for the "wow effects". And it won't last, even with Q3.

If @doublevr finds a way for the girl to correctly align with my dick AUTOMATICALLY with every position, and not falling through the ground every time I move my hips, THEN I'll be impressed. For now, it's like the dynamic island on the iPhone 14 Pro: good but useless 😃

that's the plan for our machine learning team

So I get indefinitely suspended for sharing a tweet that was requested by another user.. in this thread..
      yangbodyn

      Nice, great stuff.
I hope you strive to improve things despite silencing criticism.

Even with your updated description, I didn't do any of these things:
      -(unprovoked) aggression
      -acting in bad faith
      -being explicitly disrespectful

sylvanussircharles you posted pre-edited version of the tweet to fuel a drama.
There's no evidence slr did anything wrong on that matter, but that's not something you are looking for.

We are respectful people here, some of visitors aren't. Learn to be respectful or leave for good.

It's one thing to ask things, it's another thing to harass people and company without even having a reason

And keep in mind there are cases with a plaintiff is the one being wrong.

doublevr why is it then that other studios can put out scene after scene with a level of consistency (in technical aspects) and SLRO scenes vary wildly? Certainly seems like they’re all using experienced, proficient people rather than releasing scenes by complete novices.

On the flipside of that, if you are going to go throw people in the deep end and let them learn on the job, why get rid of them after only a couple of scenes? Why not give them a chance to actually learn on the job, to take on board people’s feedback and get better rather than getting another novice in and starting from scratch again? Stan may not have been perfect in his early attempts (hardly surprising when he’d literally never directed anything before) but maybe he’d have improved with time. Instead he’s gone after a handful of scenes and you have to start again with someone else.

petermc maybe because production is hell of a job and consistency is often a case for generic stuff.

Every studio goes through ups and downs over time.
We try to figure out and boost SLR quality. It's clear that Alex Mack production isn't doing that great and it might be a good point to stop and give Sensemedia more production

doublevr I posted the initial tweet that was requested for context, yes..

Please show me where I have been disrespectful.
You have made the decision for me to leave for good.

Where did I harass the company/ppl?

@doublevr here is an "analysis" why regular VR scenes fail to get likes as PT scenes. PT watchers only want one thing and it is scene being a PT. That's it. They don't care the about models, outfits, roleplay or even dirty talk. If it is a PT scene the userbase who is targetted will like the scene because that already satisfied them. For now, it seem like a good deal because it is new and there is a hardcore userbase in SLR for it but in long term it will damage the brand but I will not go deep into now you can discuss it with your internal team.

For regular scene, recent SLR Originals has been the same. Meet up your girlfriends, get fully naked, same script from models because of directors lack of directions. Only model changes in SLR Originals scenes and everything is the same. How much do you have to produce something same to understand people are bored of it? It is not something creative or immersive it is the same thing but with different models.

For immersion, focus on topics like roleplay, good eye contact, intimate reaction from models. Hell, I've saying a lot in different times, there is a need in industry for a good taboo VR content and currently no one is producing it as what customers want. A taboo scene should include great roleplay, dirty talk with the given role (not the same dirty talk that given in vanilla scenes) and model's dedication to role. Can you point me a video you recently produced that satisfy this conditions? I think not. And as you can see this is an "idea" that is creative since no one is currently producing it in the VR sector. As I said before, if regular models are not confortable for such roles as a stepsister for example, there is dozens of models on ManyVids or OnlyFans that are great roleplayers and can nail the dirty talk during the act. I'm not saying only ManyVids models are capable of doing such roles, it is your cast director's responsibility to select the models depending on the plot. You can't distinguish a stepsister video that SLR produced with a vanilla scene because of plot, dirty talk and role is the same as other vanilla scenes and then be surprised to see why the current decisions fails .

doublevr Every studio goes through ups and downs over time.

Hard disagree. Most other studios have been improving slowly over time. They are consistent and you know exactly what you're going to get from them. SLR is the opposite. Even if ignoring PT and my opinion of it, SLR Originals is about the only studio that has regressed in terms of overall production quality.

If we'd get one SLRO VR scene each week on the level of quality of Nash's newest VRSpy scene with Madison and Layla there would be zero complaints around here. ZERO.

The few users here that are dismissing the number of likes metric in order to downplay the popularity of PT is quite staggering. Melody Marks getting +20k likes in VR is completely fine and quotable it seems but when another PT performer receives a high number of likes then all of a sudden it is not a valid metric lol.

I am not speaking for all PT aficionados, however for me it's about scaling. This is something many of you seem to speak about in the comments of PT and non PT videos and on the board. So for PT, I enjoy positioning the dick of the male talent with where my dick is and then I get to see a sense of the girl whoever it is as she would appear in real life. I can never quite achieve that in non PT. Now I know more about Willow's beautiful ass than I ever did before, and I also know a bit more about the size of Lily Lou's new boobs when I fantasise about fucking her.

In the recent Willow Ryder scene, Simense were thoughtful enough to use a dick that would be considered in the normal range, so you don't have to position your dick with a huge porn dick. Please give credit where it's due.

With respect to the other positions other than cowgirl and reverse-cowgirl. Yes I agree with the comments and yet none of you said that you could easily switch the pass through off and that would resolve your problem. Many of you just want to focus on the negatives because ultimately you want to see PT gone.

Finally, SLR are cutting edge and visionaries. Please don't dismiss that. We need that in this space. Porn has been stagnant for too long. As far as I can see there is only one company innovating and trying something new and that is SLR.
