Hairsational we are checking things internally. right now its not clear what has got wrong. She edited her post out before we even learned about it
SLR Party Riots
InfiniteFun it's on us. We are going to make sure we get it right next time
...okay, so you made a mistake, i hear you. Can you rectify it please? Can i get access to the back catalogue again? To be honest, i only need a day or two, and i'd spend a fair bit of money on the scripts.
Hand on heart, complete honesty, after all things were considered, the main reason i bought a lifetime subscription to your site was because of that studio. i sympathize with you that things went south with them, i don't care any more whose fault it was, that is not relevant, what is relevant is that it is 'on you' that i no longer have access to that content.
Can you make it right this time...?
doublevr Idk what your contracts with content providers are like but there should be a notice peroid of several weeks minimum in my opinion
Hairsational more like two weeks
InfiniteFun right. it's just hard to manage. for some reason site managers missed it. perfectly we want to automate it so no content goes down without having a notification in place.
it's high on priority list to get it right.
Please bear with us
doublevr Hey! I have a suggestion: can you guys revamp/improve/replace the current notifications system and/or the UI at least? There are days when I open the website and notice dozens of notifications that don't even fit the default notification panel, so I have to be careful and open each notif/link in a new tab, and then close the notification panel and open it again to get the remaining stuff. And when I said "careful," I mean it, because if the notification is marked as "read" when I open the panel, but I close it by accident, that notification might be gone for good, buried with the most recent items. It's impossible right now to get it back. Tell the web team about that. Let them test with 20+ sample notifications and they'll understand right away.
Nice to have: a proper notifications center, like X or Facebook. A page that we can open, separately, and see the notifications clearly marked as "New Release," "Toy Script," "Social" (like comments or mentions), "Compilations," and "IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS". If we accidentally dismissed the latter with the drop-down notifications panel, we can always go to the notifications center and find it right there (because it's important). If we missed the important notification and X days have passed, you could trigger email notifications.
IDK, my 2 cents
thatoculusdude sounds like a plan
LordCrash Spacing out scenes by type & director is something that we can absolutely be better at.
If you look at the 15 or so scenes prior to the ones you highlighted, they were very heavy on Nash shoots. We have ongoing discussions about better spacing things out to avoid long periods of time without any specific director's content, multiple similar scenes in a row (for example Passthrough), etc. Will just take some time to implement.
theHobbit That's interesting. Quantifiably, there are more likes for the PassThrough scenes than the nonPassthrough scenes.
Oh look, data backing up the very thing you have been dismissing for the last couple of weeks and calling others drama queens over.
Hairsational the graphic shows that there are more likes for pass through even though they only constitute 40% of the last 15 scenes. This is a solid argument for more passthrough scenes as it seems the vast majority of the customer base prefer these over standard non VR scenes.

theHobbit It's really not though here's why:
A: We don't know that PT itself is driving the likes vs. many other factors. Hell, without data from SLR, we really don't know what the correlation between likes and metrics like watch time even are. It's purely speculation. Besides that, plenty of VR scenes get like spiked merely for casting probably before the user even watches the scene. The sample size is too small overall as well as PT likely getting some bonus points for its novelty factor.
B: The "vast majority" of VR users are using Quest 2. There's no chance at this point that the majority of those users PREFER PT. Again, I'm not anti PT but we're still a little while away from the Q3 being adopted by the majority of users and surpassing VR in terms of preference IF it ever happens at all.
theHobbit Correlation does not imply causation
vrguy69 Bro. The girls on both formats are equally hot in my view. In fact you could probably argue that the girls on non pass through have a greater fan base. Most of the girls in PT bar Lily Lou are quite new whereas the non PT girls are more established. So from a casting perspective, you'd think non-PT wins.
I am not sure I understand what you mean by point B - but your logic on point A is flawed.

Hairsational not saying it does, but you cannot deny that there is a shit ton of likes for PT. All Im saying is that despite a few critics of PT, @LordCrash's graphic doesn't really support the argument that there is too much PT which I assume is the point he was implying.
