Will65 I think the big problem with SLRO is that they do not (and maybe never did) have any identity or aesthetic to call their own.

Exactly. Subscribing one year at SLR is a lottery because maybe you like what they do today, and next month they change completely and forget about what they did before. They said it was going to be "a sum", but it is not true, they forget the previous content, and they start doing experiments that do not interest many people.

They also rarely keep their promises. I signed up in August last year because they said "next week" they would start releasing the first SLR JAV Originals, and here we are. A year later, my subscription is coming to an end, and no sign of Japanese girls. It's an unfulfilled promise that has been going on for 3 or 4 years now.

It could be compensated with the SLR Originals, but in the last few months the quality of the movies and girls has plummeted, I've downloaded almost none.

The only thing that has been worth it to me are the movies from other studios, if it were for the SLR Originals content, it doesn't make up for the subscription. And if we're talking about the main reason for my subscription, SLR JAV Originals, it's to feel ripped off.

In fact now that Japanese studios are already releasing 8K movies, SLR JAV Originals has already lost its main advantage, which was the image quality. Now that Japanese movies look the same as Western movies, SLR JAV Originals are not going to bring me anything better than the ones already in Japan, watching the titles they have released with Melody Marks and Hazel Moore, full of clothes and with the camera far away.

      Natch yep, this is a perfect example of @Will65 his point. Some people in the forum request JAV and then they start experimenting with JAV. People request Harem, Ebony, etc. then we start exploring with Ebony.

      I think it makes wayyyy more sense to build an identity around channels and create teams that are really good at that particular genre and get better at it.

      You see many pornsites doing this. Why not stucturally build SLR - passthrough, SLR - Grande, SLR - Ebony, etc. channels and focus on a few at first. The other genres you buy in bulk from other producers.

      Then at least you know they are really good at those things + they have a other more to offer. Now it is like a restaurant with way toooo many dishes on the menu. In general you know not all dishes wi be good and you skip to a restaurant with a smaller menu known for it's good and fresh seafood 😉

          justsomedude101 thanks for the reaction. It is not about stopping passthrough. It's about creating focus and become really good at some things and not the constant experimentation and general lack of quality assurance.

          Please continue with passthrough and become really really good and known for it. Create a separate passthrough channel and then pick something else you become really good at. Take the Vixen websites for example. They pick a genre, a quality standard, create channels (separate websites in their case) and they become widely known for their expertise and quality. That's a vision and a very strong one in my opinion.

            id love to see SLR make a top quality scene that has some fear, sexiness, and everything that entails the whole Succubus scenarios that i wrote about. If anyone had seen Semen Demons, the ideas they made with the intro sex scenes and having the actresses swap in and out with creepy background noises sounding like whispers of demons in our head. Those kinds of scenes man i really would love to see that investment into the story. 😈 along with all the other scene ideas like the demon nun and cosplay video game scenarios too

            I made this exact same analogy in a conversation with @Mutiny a few months back on this same topic. Plenty of people see it this way, but they are making enough money on the low standards people that they ignore it.

            When I subbed, it was actually the opposite: I didn't care for the overwhelming majority of the other studios on the site, but I really liked SLRO and their scripts. Frankly, I can get pretty much any of this stuff stuff on the seven seas without subbing anywhere, and I can get scenes scripted if I want it bad enough. I have over 6TB of VR porn, with something like 500+ matching scripts, so it's not like I'm going to run out any time soon. I really subbed to SLR because I liked what they were doing with Originals and the matching scripts, and I really wanted to support them. I'm sad to say that I've regretted that investment pretty hard over the last few years, especially the way they have swung every which way with Originals and ruined a best-in-class product in the process. As others have said, I haven't bothered with many of the Originals lately. I check to see what new has been scripted, what VREdging and DeepInSex are up to, and mourn the glory days of Originals. @doublevr acts like we are ungrateful malcontents and talks crap about our criticisms without seeming to consider that we can get any of this content for free, but we sub here because we want to support a quality product. Instead, we either get a lot of empty promises, or we get talked down to.

                  Will65 One of the most helpful things you (and everyone) can do would be to comment what you do like, whether here in the forum or (preferably) on individual scene pages that stand out to you as "A+" for whatever reason, whether that's casting/performance/setting/plot/whatever. And I don't just mean in this thread or in response to this comment, I mean as an ongoing, day-to-day practice.

                  Sharing criticisms/complaints can be helpful, but without a "frame of reference" their value (in terms of us being able to actually utilize that feedback) is pretty limited.

                      Will65 can relate to this. I'm also looking forward to the VRedging and DeepinSex scenes and still like some of the SLR originals that come out. I think expectations regarding for instance the harems, etc. were too high and the quality was terrible.

                      Something SLR has to recover from as well. I now have a NaughtyAmerica and POVR subscription on the side as I do not want to leave SLR yet.

                      @justsomedude101 , @doublevr , really hope you can take our feedback into account and focus om some grand high quality productions again. As mentioned, I would highly advice to create a new channel or even a new studio for this. Build that out slowly so people know what to expect from that particular studio / channel and the team can become good at quality assurance.

                          hhigh88 @Will65 Hopefully Nash is trying to do this. If he only makes what you are talking about maybe one every 2 or 3 weeks at first. Then he will have the top 10 highest rated scenes on this site.

                              rerun119 Agree, would be great if Nash could focus on that. He can also bring the expertise to get tot the required quality. Hopefully he will get the budget, etc. to do this. Would be great to see a high quality FFFM or FFFFM scene with proper storyline, a-stars, high-end lingerie etc every 2-3 weeks.

                                hhigh88 these types of group scenes have dried up in general lately. I can see why but it's a bit disappointing. Not saying it's the "best" genre, but it's my personal fav.

                                    123jd123 It's my favorite genre by far haha. Back in the days itbwas CzechVR, Naughty America, WankzVR, VR Bangers and SLR all doing FFFF+M scenes and it was great.

                                    Now for most of them the frequency and quality dropped dramatically. Actually SLR tried with the harem series so actually big thumbs up for that but we need to improve quality. Naughty America is not the frontrunner when if comes to FFFM and FFFFm scenes.

                                      lol i was conplimented on my dirty scripts and wish also that when a director if ever they do take up the scene ideas i e posted, that they treat it well and follow close enough to the story quality and not just a few mins and bam lets fuck your brains out. 🙁 i need that darkness and immersion in the dialogue and the phases of the scene , with even some lovely investment in the background like say a normal room changing lighting and ambience into some darkened room with a glow coming feom the floor out of sight of the viewer and having husks of men stuffed into a closet that we dont notice unless we look past the gorgeous demon woman in front of us to see we are going to be just like that … lol but yea definitely need storyline quality and guiding actresses to fit/adjust their acting to fit the character/role they are playing… i cant imagine though how difficult it must be to direct and try to coordinate all this 🙁 sorry for the rant just want the scenes to be even more awesome than JAV scenes at least

                                        Bucket619 No worries, think we all want that. It is indeed very difficult therefore it is very important to build skills and retain skills. Lots of effort going into experiments now ,such as the harems, that are cancelled when they are not doing well or the quality is not as expected. If you work with the same team cancellation is, however, most costly as all of the 'learning' money and all the lessons that came with are thrown away.

                                        SpaceX also got it right after numerous failed attempts (company almost went bankrupt) but they now succeeded and managed to create a huge competitive advantage.

                                        It's all about distinguishing yourself from the crowd. SLR primarily distinguished itself via quantity now. However, POVR is catching up and others ramp up their production levels as well. I believe quality and being known for certain genres or technologies (such as passthrough, which SLR is focusing on) very well is the best way forward.

                                            Hoping for dome feedback from the SLR team. Lot of good suggestions for the long term vision.

                                            hhigh88 if they could have someone do cosplay and have a person/team who understands each of the character’s personality to help direct actors and help with accuracy on settings/backgrounds, they would surpass the other studios. Look how dark and sexy it could all be , and if they need someone to help out with that , man i’d be happy to lol. especially the dialogue. Dialogue is key 😅

                                              Totally in agreement with what has been stated here, Fidelio was a great saga, good actresses, amazing scenarios, good camera shots. To my taste Naugthy America became boring a couple of years ago, Wankz also did very well produced scenes, unfortunately it fell apart a couple of years ago too. Czech VR has been the last to fall a few months ago.

                                              I appreciate SLR's effort, but aside from the harems, there aren't many scenes that I find memorable. The latest sites they have added are very low quality, blurry image, out of focus cameras, gigantic scales. I'm sorry, but I've had to hide a lot of studies so they don't show up on my main screen.

                                              I think that the settings are still quite important in innovation, Naughty America in its best time used some great ones (mansions, deserts), which really made an epic scene.

                                              As someone here says, I would be willing to pay more to get better production quality.

                                                SLR needs an SLRCosplay 🥹 i see the huge potential, the close to accurate actress choices, like not having a small breasted woman playing a large breasted character , etc . Have seen it and the complaints in the forums of other studios and its quite strange and questionable how they completely miss the mark onnthings that have already been fleshed out with references and so on… 😔

                                                xj10zk08 can relate to this. Would also be willing to pay a premium for greater quality VR. It's lacking all across the board at the moment which is a huge opportunity.

                                                Feels like the VR production houses are looking for the next big thing and / or became a victim of their own expectations. When you expect to produce 8 scenes a month or more, then it feels like a number you have to hit whereas 4 hugh quality productions can be more than satisfying for thrmselves and the customer.

                                                  justsomedude101 we understand but that is also a bit unrealistic to ask from a group and it will most likely not be taken into account anyways.

                                                  Putting 'A+' in the comments will probabaly end up in there with all comments and won't do anything.

                                                  In general we all mean that the production is with 3 or more girls (well known and popular pornstars) in an endulging environment with expensive lingerie, a high-end setting and background, etc.

                                                  I would like to propose that we all pick 5 scenes that live up to those expectations and share them. Would that work @doublevr ?

                                                      Looks like BadoinkVR is going to release an ambitious Grand VR storyline (a villa based one, multipart series, 1x1on1, 1x3some, 1x5some) with five girls. Quite similar in idea to the SLRO/AlexNash Blake's Magazine series.

                                                      Hope there's more series coming by SLRO though! Series with well-acted characters that you can make a connection with are the way to go for me! SLRO scenes (particular Raw Taboo roleplays) that you can already use as a starting point that you can reprise the characters include:

                                                      Lexi+Pristine in Modern Relationship (add in a younger star for a stepfam foursome)
                                                      Melody Marks in Raw Taboo: Top Marks (obviously have Ryan Keely join in in a 3some)
                                                      Molly Little in Stepsis seduction
                                                      Madison Wilde in Raw Taboo: MeanStepsis (on a 1on1 or with Chanel and/or April and/or another fam member)
