Vision Pro
Hunky-Dory I 100% guarantee they will introduce hand cointrollers in the next iteration if not this version due to the issues / speed of hand gestures.
Hands tracking does get kinda annoying using in menus, might be better in the vision due to the eye tracking.
But I'm not much of a fan of eye tracking, I mean if I'm watching a movie will eye tracking track where I'm looking on the movie too, I take a glance at an ass or boob area will it track that?
It'll track what products in the movie you look at.
My eyes always checking out wearable clothing.
I saw this video one time showing grocery stores had eye tracking with their cams, tracked everything you looked at, and this is used as data.
I just thought ffs how much footage they got of me checking out hotties, , and exactly where my eyes looking at.
lol she had nice pants on I was checking them out wth lol
Idk its crazy
Hunky-Dory I honestly would love to see this tech move forward,
For sure but with options to turn off or on.

Apple has confirmed that Safari on Vision Pro will support WebXR, a web-standard that allows immersive PORN experiences to be delivered through the browser.

lol, OK it didn't say porn but...
Apple has confirmed that Safari on Vision Pro will support WebXR, a web-standard that allows immersive experiences to be delivered through the browser.
Which means vr porn available right out the box
And slr has added zoom and tilt options to there web browser player, which was really needed.
I nearly broke my neck my first time using them web browser players in a laying cg position, it had no tilt, lol I use to sit in a reclining position on my bed when I first started watching vrporn. I use to think it was stupid, "why I can't lay flat and watch" until I found skybox and deo vr, it was game changer
great news
now just need some porn made with VR in mind
Vrsumo2017 SLR browser player currently supports 'Optimal' 4K max, right? So not really great for streaming VR porn if this will be the only option. Do you know if this could be extended to 8K or is there a limit at 4K for WebXR?

Apple Vision Pro
Uh oh, what does mean
Recent discoveries by developers working with Apple's visionOS software development kit have revealed that Apple isn't going for room-scale VR with Vision Pro—something that will potentially frustrate users hoping for a high-end VR headset [...]"
"Around the same time, people discovered that Apple also yanks you out of any immersive environment if you start moving too quickly in any direction. visionOS will show users a message stating that they are "moving at an unsafe speed" and that "virtual content has been temporarily hidden until you return to a safe speed."
So much for room-scale
Developers of VR apps and games typically sort experiences into three categories: seated, standing, and room-scale. The former two limit users' movement to just a couple of feet in any direction, while room-scale allows the user to walk around a large space. Some kinds of experiences are only possible at room-scale, so Kerlsson and other commentators on this are right when they say this limits Vision Pro's prospects as a VR headset compared to some other devices"
Does this mean pass-through won't look normal size?
Vrsumo2017 My understanding of this is that you will not be able to move through a larger space in full VR mode without triggering VR to stop for safety reasons, which would prevent playing certain games. I don't see that this would affect video scale or even VR porn in general which is rather static.
I think the question for PT VR videos is rather: Will it be possible at all in a way it is for other headsets? Not sure if this was ever confirmed...

SchnuppiLilac triggering VR to stop for safety reasons
I was reading through more of it and thought about it like a guardian, but will it be able to be turnt off
Lol, did you see the part where it said vision pro was made for couch potatoes, lol smh
Vrsumo2017 They just don't want this to happen to their dear customers
Vrsumo2017 did you see the part where it said vision pro was made for couch potatoes
Yes, but it seems you can walk around as you want in AR/mixed mode and this safety feature only applies to full immersion VR. So the main limitation would be for roomscale games. If they are ever planning on selling such games, I am sure you will be able to use them properly.
For PT porn, it would mean that if you want to move from the couch to the dining table and back that you have to reset the center of your 1.5 m zone at each new location. Would depend on how easily this can be done if this is going to be a pain in the neck or not. 'Siri, ready to f**k!' will probably not work.
SchnuppiLilac if you want to move from the couch to the dining table and back that you have to reset the center of your 1.5 m zone at each new location.
Hopefully they an option to turn that off.
SchnuppiLilac Siri, ready to f**k!' will probably not work.
Lol
- Vision Pro is the most important product for Apple for 2024.
- Shipments in 2024 are estimated to be approximately 500,000 units. Vision Pro is currently in mass production and will begin mass shipments in the first week of January 2024. Vision Pro will most likely hit the store shelves in late January or early February based on the current mass shipment schedule.
- If user feedback on Vision Pro is better than expected, it will help strengthen the market consensus that “Vision Pro is the next star product in consumer electronics” and the related supply chain stock price.

SchnuppiLilac I'm thinking you gonna be able to pay a monthly for internet severice on it instead just using it with wifi at home, either hot spot to iPhone or and it should have option for monthly plan. Idk why meta never went this route. Offering internet service on it for monthly fee.
My smart watch I can add it as separate line on my phone bill, it'll have internet and it's own phone #,
Idk, we'll see. Can't wait to see the reviews on it. Cuz I ain't buying it for 4000$ wish I could tho.
Still excited tho to see how it turns out!
