godzilladick17 6dof might help, it should be on but you gotta move that slider all the way to the right.
Quest 3 announced

albertleder move it with it.
You mean like, while you're laying down you can move your head with out a battery pack in the back getting in the way?
ignoring the price, is the Q3 better than the Q Pro at anything? e.g. passthrough? image quality?
nfsga from the looks of it, yes
But I have no pro or q3 yet, but I've seen lots of reviews and comparisons and imo it looks better.
nfsga The lenses are the same but the resolution is 30% higher, so yes the image quality is better. Although the colors are slightly less saturated due to the LCD tech on the Pro being better, so if thats more important to you than resolution, keep that in mind.
So I tried a lot of my old vids on Heresphere quest 3 and Heresphere with virtual desktop and the quality between the two is VERY different. PC looks way better, I was pretty blow away by the difference. I now also understand why some people don't like sharpening as it looks like crap on quest but often very good on PC. Same exact scene, same exact headset.
vrpicasso Right? I thought it was just me. It’s so uncomfortable compared to what I’m used to with BoboVR M2Pro and VRCover facial interface. I was really surprised when everyone was saying they may not need to upgrade the strap as it’s decent.
Pre-ordered my prescription lens adapters now too so hopefully I should have them shortly and can ditch the glasses.
doorsareopen I haven’t tried it but it’s a slimmer unit so I guess not. BoboVR are going to be selling a kit to adapt their M2 headset to fit the Quest 3 which is pretty cool of them to do to save existing customers from having to shell out for the new M3Pro. Not seen prices yet though so don’t know how much of a saving it is.
petermc yeah, and it's such a bad first impression for the user when they cheap out like this. Initial impressions of the device are pretty poor honestly, after I was so damned hyped for it. Even color passthrough - it's not like the girl looks better, I can just see all my mess in higher quality LOL
vrpicasso I’m not really a passthrough enthusiast so it was not really a selling point for me. I did have a little go with the colour passthrough but it’s very fiddly to line your junk up and the girl was too bright and too big for my room. I don’t think this will change anything for me passthrough wise but I will give it another go when I have all my accessories on the headset to make it comfortable to use.
Offtopic - I have both Quest 2 and Quest 3. I can use in DeoVR 120 Hz on Quest and only 90 Hz on Quest 3? Any solution?

Hey bacula8630, good news! I just received a confirmation from the developer team that they are currently working on a fix and it will be implemented in the future release of the DeoVR app. In the meantime, I kindly ask for your patience until it's released.
fenderwq Thanks for your test.l heard that when quest is connected to a pc,the image quality will be compressed? Not sure about it. And what's your graphic card? Wireless or wired?

Got mine earlier today and binged. Ive owned the Q2, Q Pro, Reverb G2 and Pimax Crystal (pimax I returned).
Q3 is a very nice and noticeable bump up in image quality over Q2. I ran through DeoVR and also stored a couple of the giant file size SLR Originals (my favorite) directly on the device. Doing so told me our clarity issue is partially a content and not a raw resolution problem because the videos that the new 8k SLR camers produce have no equal, especially on close cowgirl riding etc.
But my point is, the pores on the girls face, the dripping cum (like in the Freya Von Doom video) etc. look better on Q3 than on any headset Ive seen aside from the Pimax Crystal (and honestly with the Crystal there is very little difference with the Q3 visually for porn).
While we are still not in earth shattering, holy grail levels yet (that will come with 4k per eye micro OLED displays paired with 10k + high bitrate videos), the Q3 experience of having a giant sweetspot, along with the bump in resolution produced a noticeable stepup on the higjest quality SLR videos and to a lesser extent things like WanksVR and CzechVR (which are also nice but dont contain as much granular detail as the 8k SLR setup). As should be expected it does almost nothing for lesser 5k and 6k content, aside from the aforementioned sweetspot enlargement.
If you can't tell, while Im satisfied with the Q3 and think its worth an upgrade for porn, what we really need is more studios with a setup like the one SLR is using. I'm not being a fanboy for the sake of it, just telling you what my eyes see.
Also, I'll take my opportunity here to plug continued (and more often) close filming. When SLR does closeup cowgirl, mish, etc. you can actually zoom the camera out a bit, thus exposing a higher pixel density and better image. Their cowgirl closeup where the girl almost touching the camera with her face and boobs allows you to get a huge portion of the 32 million pixels on screen for her BODY. This does look amazing, and it highlights the mediocrity of the far away shots even more. When you have a girl giving a blow job or doggy from 6 miles away the area of focus on her body is taking up very few pixels comparatively and you thus lose out on granular detail. So SLR, film close often would be my recommendation.
What does this have to do with Q3? Again, im trying to convey a way to play to its strengths and take full advantage of the device.
Ventriloquist_Tacos the dripping cum (like in the Freya Von Doom video) etc. look better on Q3
Oh wow, that settles it, I'm sold! Lol

You can use the horizontal off sett
Move it to the right to make the image bigger
To the left to make images smaller
But don't use the sliders use the + -
You click once and look at the image, still to big or small? you click on + or - again.
Hold both triggers to move the image
sheldoncooper I'm streaming, with Pico 4 i had a lot of issues with streaming but not with the quest 3 (I live in a big city and my pc isn't in the same room). On quest 3 it works flawlessly so far. No compression artifacts I'm able to spot either.
As for the settings: I'm using godlike and av1 at 200mbs with upscaling and all the other virtual desktop options enabled. I'm also using 150% super sampling on steam but that's just enabled by default (not sure if it really helps much in this scenario). My card is rtx4090.
