What should frame rate refresh should be set at? There is no longer a 60hz option in deo with Q3, just 72, 80 and 90..neither of which are 60 or 120.

Apparently it’s heavier than Q2, but you don’t feel it. Its way more comfortable and portable than Q2 by a lot. Still tough to keep on for more than 2 hours, I find that’s the max before my contacts start drying out and before you start feeling like you have to make adjustments.

Battery is ass. When I got mine it was at 70%, it got down to like 5% in less than an hour doing some PT and watching several normal vr porn vids

        Yeah the color passthrough is worth it. I mean, still has all the crappy issues PT has, but the color background really makes it 100% more immersive. However, it also makes you see more of the flaws. Some videos actually seem worse because it actually looks less realistic with the room being real behind if that makes sense. It’s really tough to line it up with your room where it doesn’t feel forced. There’s really a small percentage of videos that work well. When do you find one and get it to work though, it’s insane.

          Yorky Yes I'd forgotten about the better weight distribution. I do use my Quest 2 to watch some YouTube and video on the DeoVR app and also intend to use it to watch some movies, so might be tempted to buy the Quest 3 after all.

          Yeah I have to admit - watching movies is great using the bigscreen app so you can watch Disney and Prime on there. Bigscreen has loads of environments so you can set up a nice cinema experience for yourself and there is even a cool outdoor drive in movie simulation too. I love doing this just before I go to bed and you have just enough battery to watch a movie.

            Hurto11 pretty much my experience too but if its possible to get away from the elite strap then technically it should be more comfortable for a slightly longer period as the elite strap also was used to provide a counter balance. I think you are right though- I can only use this device for about 2 hours max.

                  echo what @Hurto11 says. It depends how rubbish you thought Quest 2 was. It is not a perfect picture but it's good enough now. You can read texts on your phone quite easily and I don't know about the others but the colour was a bit muted compared to my real room.

                  I think it's the most recent PT videos that work well, like the Nia Bleu (I find her an extreme turn on- she reminds of Miss Raquel) one is great when she is riding you and her big tits are close to your face, its awesome. I like the Rissa May and Lilly Lou PT one too as both girls are super nice looking and Rissa May's boobies are yummy.

                    Yeah basically unless you're going to utilize the PT or play games a lot there's not really any point of getting Q3 imo. If you have the expendable income and just want to try it out sure, but if you're on the fence, the upgrades to just normal video or standard VR porn vids is miniscule beyond belief and not worth the paying for right now if you have Quest 2 or any of the other headsets. There aren't any vids made yet that are utilizing the extra pixels per eye so it's negligible. I don't play games but I might try them out now since I already have it, but I was pretty annoyed at how little of a difference there was over 3+ years in this product. would have had them wait another year or 2, as this feels kind of like upgrading your Iphone from 14-15..where the difference isn't worth the price tag and you're better off waiting another couple of iterations.

                      I can, but I'm also gonna see how it functions with a fully charged 100% battery. I let it go down to 3% and now I charged it all the way back up. I'll let you know how long it lasts. Obviously using PT is very processor intensive, at least with how DEO's app has it working. I'm very excited to see how Heresphere's PT is in comparison, though that's likely not coming out until November. DEO really needs to focus all their time on PT right now because that's one of the only things keeping people on their app. Most who use HS find it superior in almost every way other than PT.

                          As others have said, image quality is not dramatically different, however after doing several comparisons between Q2 and Q3, there is a clear improvement in overall sharpness as well as richer colours. Additionally, FOV is noticably better which greatly improves immersion. Passthrough is actually pretty insane, really blown away by the experience of it. Headset is also far more comfortable.

                          I'm also now able on Herepshere settings to max out resolution on SLR 8k original bitrate videos and still get 120 fps with no stuttering.

                          I just skimmed through a video and it is no doubt an upgrade visually from the Quest 2. I still have to check out a PT video though

                          That defeats the purpose. You want 120gz to get the most realistic immersion. The battery lasted 2 full hours with me going hard on PT and switching between apps and videos. I don’t really see the need to be on longer than that honestly

                              I walked into a store in my small town and they had stock, don't think they'd sold any others that day either. The price point and maybe lack of marketing / AR games will probably make the device a slow burn success. The concept of AR gaming has massive potential, we just need a killer app to show what it can do, aside from the porn benefits.

                                  In the real world our eyes perceive movement at much much higher than 60fps and so with a 120hz refresh rate, the image is refreshing 120 times per second which allows for an overall higher fps which would make it look more realistic. I think Q2 actually couldn’t render it correctly or didn’t utilize the full hz because it wasn’t powerful enough but Q3 should be able to which is why the videos should run smoother at higher resolution. It won’t be better resolution but it will appear smoother and crisper because it can produce 120 images per second at the highest resolution available (8k).

                                    Vrsumo2017 120hz on quest 2 not very stable, when using deovr it mostly automatically set it back to 72 hz, even if you set it to 120 hz and the deovr on quest 3 only goes up to 90 hz, I hope deovr on quest 3 will handle 120 hz without any issue coz it really makes it more smoother and comfy to watch and scroll.

                                      Holy shit the default strap is bad. Every reviewer who said "it's really ok" can take a flying leap off a cliff. Need BoboVR M3, new facial interface and prescription lenses. Back to the Quest 2 for now then!

                                        Not sure where to post this. Just tried Quest 3 via Oculus Link to my PC. The desktop version of DeoVR doesn’t recognize the thumb sticks on either controller.

                                        Same thing happened on the Quest Pro. But you came out with an update to fix it.

                                          Virtual desktop + heresphere much better quality than using the native app?!

                                          So I tested the Quest 3 using virtual desktop and godlike + heresphere with super sampling and one of the latest vr bangers vids (best quality at the moment imo) and it is MUCH better quality then using the heresphere app in Quest directly. A huge difference (you need to test it with one of these very high quality vids to really notice it though).

                                          Actually makes me wonder if it's the player and not the vid that limits the video quality in these cases? I even put the resolution multiplier to 2 on quest and experimented with the usual other settings like sharpness. Still way lower res. Curious to hear if anybody else noticed this too

                                          The Q3, the clarity is better, the screendoor effect is almost completely gone unless you go squinting for it. But there's more to it than pure resolution. The image is clearer more often if not just because there is no center sweetspot you have to fight--it's always clear now. Godrays are also almost completely gone which also improves the image quality and immersion.

                                          Color passthrough alone is worth it and the immersion is REAL. It doesn't matter if you're in a dim room that's pretty grainy, just the color backdrop of your house is enough to give immersion.

                                          FOV is significantly wider but not wide enough you can be looking straight ahead and still see yer junk--you'll still be looking downward a bit.

                                                I just wanted to say to the people that think its not better than the quest 2 for porn.
                                                I dont have a quest 2 but i had a 8KX and a g2 reverb and the Q3 is still better for image quality but roughly similar. But the lenses are a million times better than either headsets, which have horrible fresnel lenses like the quest 2.
                                                Also its super comfy and small and u can move it with it.

                                                        With boundary off its more convenient to just move in different areas, instead of always getting that boundary message when you step out.
