, only problem is a Lil warping when you move ur hands in the front. Otherwise it's really good, honestly side by side with quest 2, I don't really see much difference in resolution on videos, with quest 2 and quest 3, I watched different videos from different studios 8k downloaded, and it still looks the same as quest 2, not much difference only a Lil bit more fov that you won't even notice, if you into those passthrough videos then it's a defo buy otherwise quest 2 is still really good for watching regular vr porn.

Vrsumo2017 yes you are right, it's not as bad as Pico, but its not perfect, there is still some grainyness, i use two dim lights to evenly lit my room and lil grainyness is still there but when i opened my window, and the sunlight lit my room, it looks really clear, plus the depth sensor makes it all look real scale, so those passthrough videos looks super realistic but Lil warping is still there.

Mine should be here any minute. Damn it’s really not any better than Q2 in terms of quality? That’s really disappointing to hear. I know PT will be awesome but the resolution/performance and fov is the same? That sucks.
Though I guess thats because these videos aren’t shot with Q3 performance in mind? Maybe when cameras upgrade again Q3 will be able to play smoothly in 12k?
hottea bro, have you try turing off the boundary yet, this guy turnt his off and the pass through was black after, I hope the pt works with boundary off.

Where you hear that? just the pancake lens alone should be way better then the q2, I been hearing it a great update from the q2

Vrsumo2017 yes lens rings are gone but very Lil glare is still there. You won't notice it unless something really comes up the screen.
SchnuppiLilac It doesn't have hardware accelerated 10k or 12k decoding for any codec, especially not AVC, so like the Quest 2 those videos won't play smoothly.
SchnuppiLilac I don't think that will work. I think quest 3 can do 8k 60 max but if they can shoot in 12k or above and scale it to 8k then I guess it will look better then those normal 8k, Just my assumption.
hottea Thanks for that. Pasthrough does sound like it's really good but if the esolution is not much different from the 2 for watching video I think I'll stick with the Quest 2 for a bit longer as I've only been using it for 10 months and I recently bought a case and an Elite battery strap for it.

I've got it and it's wicked - everything looks sharper and more snappier than Q2. PT is brilliant. I have just had Nia Bleu standing in my room showing me her beautiful big ass.
I played a few seconds of the Kayley Gunner recent scene and to my eyes it looks sharper.
Will try Youtube and Netflix after work but I wanted to get my priorities straight lol
I also have the recent Leana Lovings scene from VRB and so will check that with my quest 2 for comparison later too. Will keep you all updated.
Yorky the weight distribution is better. I found the quest 2 a bit taxing weight wise and with an elite strap especially when I wanted to chill watching Netflix or browse YouTube. The Q3 feels much better and Im pretty sure I won't be needing the elite strap as it feels nice overall.
If you are just watching VR porn on it though and not that bothered about PT then, you've made the right decision.
PT is great, not perfect but like 20X better than the Q2
