thatoculusdude looks good threw the pt, but what it look like in a dim lighting room is what I wanna know, I wanna be able to put my colored light bulb on different colors and hopefully it still look good just low light and not grainy like Pico 4.

    I saw a guy on youtube had pt on with qpro and he had colored lights, it's look decent enough

      I preordered the q3.
      I am very sceptical when it comes to the passthrough releases and i hope the q3 will change my mind. 🙂

            [deleted] So the test shows that the best could be recorded is 4k video (2k for each eye) using Meta Quest Developer HUB
            as said above quest 3 passthrough cameras are not recording 180 degree, but rather flat 120-100 if not 90 degree, so its possible to make flat stereo video with some effort.
            below are the settings that can be selected in MQDH, so for stereo we choose both eyes, with max bitrate 40 mbps
            however as i already said the maximum resolution is 4k 60fps
            and eyes are rotated in the image. not sure why they are rotated, but that can be fixed with some stereo correction applications.
            This is not new and last year i already made a stereo video tutorial with passthrough from quest pro.

                Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I apologize for any confusion caused by my previous response. I had heard from a reliable source that the cameras were upgraded. The specifications also indicated "4K", not two "2K" cameras, although I suppose the lower resolution makes much more sense.

                I would still recommend a section for Social Media content creators. Apple Visision will certainly have better cameras.

                      That's what pt needs, filters...so you can filter your room with natural colors so your room environment and video image of the hotties fits together as one image

                      I want a party Lazer light filter
                      Where it will dim your room and have party lights flashing in your room and the light reflect off the video image of the models. Maaan with sum music in the background, holy pt jizz! 🥵

                      Yall know in alpha production if they had Lazer party lights in the room thoes lights would still show with pass through on.

                      True color high resolution pass through is what I'm hearing bout q3!

                      Awww im hearing there's ghosting effect "double image" when moving your hands in pass through, similar to quest pro but with out the Grey overlay. 😔

                      Also hearing there sum kinda warping in the pass through. Distortion in the near field they said, 🤦‍♂️

                      Hearing lenses were great, clear big sweat spot, better then quest pro.

                      Sum of the flaws with the pass through im sure meta might fix that, still should be a great upgrade from the q2.

                        just pre-ordered mine. Big no-brainer for me. Going to be a massive upgrade to Q2. is it perfect? of course not, but it might still be another 2-3 years until something significantly better comes out. (unless of course you get Apple's headset). So it's the BEST option at the price point without a doubt.
