      [deleted] hell yeah, hell they literally filming movies on iPhones, I forgot what movie it was but it made it to theaters, it was filmed on an iPhone.

      Music too easily recorded on phones these days, one app come to mind is bandlab that app like a studio/social network and it got autotunes lol 😆

      I already committed one time they should record pov with a male model and a pornstar with quest pro just for the hell of it. 🤷‍♂️

      I'm sure someone out there using it for pov sex recordings lol

        [deleted] right, can't add no extra space to quest 2 or 3, i would use skyboxvr and stream from my computer to the gear vr, i would have so many files to go threw 😀

        Lol I'd buy so many screen protectors too, I'd keep my s10+ in top shape keep the screen clean scratch free. 😉

        I had to return it one time tho, cus I fell asleep watching youtube and had it on bright and it burn my screen, it had like a outline of the youtube screen, good thing I had warranty, after that I put my phone on dark mode and if I was watching youtube before going to sleep I'd put the brightness all the way down and make youtube screen small.

        Lol had to take extra good care of the phone 👍

        But hell yeah I had Hella fun with the gearvr.

          Looks like an answer for apple. I looked at the Q3, the cameras don't look like 180, and practically they have a fov similar to what is seen in the headset. Apparently it will be a 3D screen, according to the virtual desktop.
          It looks like the era of 3D films awaits us, only instead of blue-red glasses we will use headsets and AR space for a virtual TV.

            If the Quest 3 can record 3D video, why wouldn't Zuckerberg mention this at Connect? People would have loved that. It would have also enticed people to buy the 512gb version. Instead he was telling Snoop Doggy Dogg that he wanted to 'unsheath his sword' on text which wasn't very funny and his joke went down like a lead balloon.

              Perhaps this is an afterthought. I believe more in video recording on Q3, at least it has IPD like a person. But we suggest recording 3D video on an iPhone with an IPD of 2cm, and even on different cameras. There is no question of any 180vr.

                  Meta Connect didn't exactly go down smoothly. The Zuck is a young father now essentially unaware of half of what his company does. He's terrified for his life, which is why he has spent $100,000,000 building an underground bunker -- with A.I. driven mech drones!

                    thatoculusdude looks good threw the pt, but what it look like in a dim lighting room is what I wanna know, I wanna be able to put my colored light bulb on different colors and hopefully it still look good just low light and not grainy like Pico 4.

                    We shall see, 8 days!

                      I saw a guy on youtube had pt on with qpro and he had colored lights, it's look decent enough

                        I preordered the q3.
                        I am very sceptical when it comes to the passthrough releases and i hope the q3 will change my mind. 🙂

                            spanker Anything that does not use 180 fisheye lenses is a feature from an advertisement for family values, take pictures of your children and send them to your parents to look at their three-dimensional grandchildren.
                            Apple made a headset because it had to make a headset. It’s logical to give Apple users the opportunity to shoot content on their internal platform, otherwise, everyone wants to be a creator.

                              [deleted] So the test shows that the best could be recorded is 4k video (2k for each eye) using Meta Quest Developer HUB
                              as said above quest 3 passthrough cameras are not recording 180 degree, but rather flat 120-100 if not 90 degree, so its possible to make flat stereo video with some effort.
                              below are the settings that can be selected in MQDH, so for stereo we choose both eyes, with max bitrate 40 mbps
                              however as i already said the maximum resolution is 4k 60fps
                              and eyes are rotated in the image. not sure why they are rotated, but that can be fixed with some stereo correction applications.
                              This is not new and last year i already made a stereo video tutorial with passthrough from quest pro.

                                  Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I apologize for any confusion caused by my previous response. I had heard from a reliable source that the cameras were upgraded. The specifications also indicated "4K", not two "2K" cameras, although I suppose the lower resolution makes much more sense.

                                  I would still recommend a section for Social Media content creators. Apple Visision will certainly have better cameras.

                                    Maybe there is something we yet dont know about it, but for now its all we found out.
                                    You might have confused it with 4K display?
