Okay, let's make an analogy. Let's imagine there's an airport where you are allowed to pay 25 bucks and fly as much as you like on flights from many different airlines.
You try RyanAir and hate it, fine. Everyone has his own tastes, you have unlimited access to all the flights so you can simply keep flying with the other airlines, and ignore the ones you don't like. Airlines get rewarded based on who you decide to fly with, so it's a fair system for everyone.
But no.. you feel like going on the airport forum and start complaining because you pretend that when you arrive on the airport, only the flights from the airlines that you fancy will show up.
All fine.. except there's thousands of other people entering that airport and they might have different tastes, and they choose to fly what they want, and they just take those "free" RyanAir flights because for them they are worth something and they prefer to have them as part of the deal. Others may even like them more, for some odd reason. Or maybe they are just happy to support a company that is making an effort for them, because they understand the value of that. We're not here to discuss that. I hope you understand that your tastes are not ruling over the others, we're not even sure they are a majority.
All this without even considering the fact that all the above airlines are loosing money to provide this service to you, and are flying you around the world at their loss.
So you can either be grateful that someone is burning his own resources for giving you something for no extra cost, or.. you can just have the "annoyed attitude" and make it so that everyone else also looses it.
I explained it in that reddit post (which by the way was all about the girl's attitude, and not at all about the shooting style). Yes James111, you can call them excuses as much as you want - but the only reason why there is so little VR porn, and if things don't change there will always be less of it, is because of the few users like you.
You want unlimited flights, you want to pay less than what it even costs to fly you around, and you complain that you don't get first class service from the low cost airlines that try to stay afloat to provide you the best possible service with those very limited resources and ridiculous payouts, and that still you could simply avoid if you don't like, while letting other users enjoy them if they want.
I get it.. - like the guys that posted that rant on reddit - you just have no idea how many complications and unexpected shit can happen, along with how much hard unpaid work goes regularly as standard into being able to offer these experiences to you, and it's so easy to just rant because they are not of the type that you should actually pay 10 times more for - to make them fairly profitable for us producers as porn used to be profitable in the 90's before the following 2/3 "internet-God" sent plagues (piracy, free porn tubes, etc..) came to eat all the profit margins. You want to fly luxury first class intercontinental but you want to pay a flat fee based on low cost companies, and you feel entitled to insult the crew because you don't get a free croissant baked expressly for you.
You know what? Without any bad feelings, you simply deserve a future of no "flat fee" flights, and to find a completely empty airport. Surely you don't deserve them from me, considering that at the end of the day I had to spend my own money to offer you to try my own, personal experience of flight. It's simply isn't worth it. I don't expect praise or glory. I just make an effort out of passion, try to survive, hoping that enough people will understand and appreciate. I always expect people like you, my videos aren't made for people like you. It's for those that are happy to pick them up. No matter if they are many or not. I've run enough businesses in my life to know that those few angry customers are inevitable, no matter the type or quality of service you provide. So I personally am not really bothered - although that doesn't mean that I don't keep doing all the possible efforts to provide an always better service, and if you watch my videos I think it's evident that I always did.
Now you can keep bashing out at my videos, but this is really not about me. It's about destroying the few independent VR porn producers that are suffering trying to plow this field hoping that someday they will get some crops, by shitting on their fields, and you are taking advantage of the "multinational corporations" of porn that decided it's okay for them to loose money on VR, because they can use all their financial power to reserve the land and will be pleased to see that all the other land is poisoned so no one else can enter the business.
(Sorry, I had to momentarily switch from air fields to land fields because it just worked better, lol).
By killing all these small producers, the only result for you is less flights, same price. It's a lose-lose situation but hey, it's your choice. You seem to want it, and that you'll be happy when it happens.
I am glad that (I believe) the vast majority of users aren't like you and are happy with what they get. Unfortunately that might not be enough anyway. I'll probably be forced to stop all this soon, and it's purely because of these kind of comments coming from the 0.001%.
Or maybe I should just switch to traditional/flat porn production. Except unfortunately I'd find myself in a situation where 85% of people would pirate my videos or watch them on free tube sites and still feel like posting nasty comments below them, obviously. Because you really can't escape that 0.001%, ever. Even when they get a bite for free, or they plainly steal it, they'll still want to say that your pie's taste is disgusting.
mrkirby, I am taking some more time to reply just to you as it seems you at least tried to understand the situation a bit, and not just vomit an hollow rant.
yes, I could have stayed in Budapest and hired local talent. except things wouldn't have changed so much, the cost I was lamenting was 100% just for the girl. In my replies I only mentioned being away and having additional costs as more reason to not ditch that content - which by the way in the end is being liked and watched on SLR more than other videos that nobody ever complained about. So ALL that thread was again just the rant of a few guys, an overwhelming minority, that didn't know what they were talking about, and once they could read my explanations, they all ended apologizing and changing their opinion.
when you say that smaller studios should follow the "proven methods and not try to reinvent the wheel".. well, you seem a smart guy and surely you understand that if for some reason with the traditional wheel the cart goes backwards you either renounce your quest or try to find other ways.. in a market where the production isn't profitable, a small studio MUST experiment to find cheaper ways to produce, or DIE. if we work with the "proven methods" we are forced to make costs rise even more, to try to match the big studios, and it means we'd be loosing even more money and we'd have to just stop producing content, leaving all the (empty) space only to those big studios (which don't even provide so many flights anyway).
which is what BobbyBadass wants, anyway.. and as I said is likely to happen soon, unless something new happens. I was already forced to reduce my production, and that will only lead to reducing it even more until it goes down to nothing. I hope you'll enjoy the empty spaces at the airport, and those days where you only find just one flight to just one destination.
