BYOJ compatible with Clips

Let me start by saying, that I really like the idea of the BYOJ feature, I have a lot of ideas and it would be really cool to share my creations and to try out the creations of others.

To get a lot of content, in my opinion, it is very important to make the process of creating BYOJs as easy as possible.
At the moment it is very tedious to create something, the main problem for me was to select the correct timestamps, to really find the right material you have to see the video in VR and than you have to add the video and select the timestamp in 2D.

I know the feature to create clips is in the works, so what I write next might very well be exactly what is planed.
In my opinion it would be very helpful for the quick creation of BYOJs, if you could easily creaty a clip in VR by simply marking the start and the end point in a video and later in 2D it should be possible to add the created Clip to the BYOJ.

Here are some additional things that would be very intersting features for BYOJ:

Prebuffer the next Episode, if there is only one Jump To-Command (If this would be possible, in combination with the Clips it would be very easy to create Compilations)
Allow Playback customisatzions to be safed in the Episode, like Zoom, Orientation, Speed...
Ability to Follow a Creator, if I really like a Clip or BYOJ I would like to easily find other stuff from the same creator
Like and Comment function for Clips and BYOJ (This should also help to quickly find the best content)
Ability to add Text, Images and Animations
Ability to add Music and Sounds (Probably not possible, but would be very cool to create PMVs)

That are my thoughts for now, I'll definetly give more feedback and create something, as soon as the ability to share your BYOJ is ready.

First iteration will be the same as it is now, but with ability to have it public for other users to see, that includes liking, adding to playlists, commenting... just like normal videos.

All the points you listed are actually already planned, with a difference of animations. If you would elaborate on this, what do you mean by animations?

With introduction of Clips you will be able to create a compilation simply by adding them into a playlist, no need for BYOJ at all.

You probably know you can kind of do this already, but I will share anyway, just in case somebody needs it. AND it would be a great feature to have built in to the app.

If you are using a VR headset connected to a PC, it is pretty simple. Get a music player like VLC, make a playlist, and play whatever music you want when you are watching your videos. It will play through the VR headset's sound system.

If you are using a stand alone headset, you can also do this. Use wireless earbuds connected to your PC or other music player and wear them when you are watching the videos.

Sounds good, can you share a vague estimated time for when Clips will be available?

Some examples for animations that come to my mind are, a distortion effect in a transition to a flashback or dream sequence, JAV-Filter, a countdown.

For very simple compilations a playlist would of course be easier, but maybe you want to add a description, zoom in or out or add music, if that at some point would be an option.

That is definetly a good option to do it for yourself, but it wouldn't be possible to share it with others that way.
