Cache issue on Quest 2

I've been having an issue where after viewing a decent number of videos in SLR, video loading will get slower and slower until eventually I can't load any videos. I spoke to support, and they said it may be a cache issue, and asked me to restart the app. When I restart the app, it does fix the issue. But, I can't figure out how to permanently solve this... any pointers?? I never used to have this problem. I've tried fulling removing and reinstalling SLR. I'm nowhere near out of space on my Quest 2.

dingobiatch Yes, I have the same problem, unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet, except the way you do it, restart the app, I didn't have the problem before either, my idea would be to allocate more memory to the app, I think it's under Android that possible .

I'm having the same problem, sometimes after just 1 video it will crash when I start a 2nd video, can hear audio but picture has frozen. It also happens if I add or remove something from favourites. Impossible to watch anything for the last week.

CrazyHippo Are you using DeoVR as the player? This has been my issue for a while now with the Quest 2 with DeoVR. Ever since the 13.1 update a while back, the app is getting worse and worse and not just in performance but in general use.

To get around the slowdown issue. I just started using Oculus Link via link cable connected to my PC turning it into PCVR thus using my PC's hardware instead of the slow and outdated Quest 2's. Much better performance and visuals with no lag or progressive slowdowns like just using Quest 2 as a standalone does.

Sandi_SLR I had also noticed similar issues in the recent past in DeoVR on Q2. After using the app for a while there would be a video that just won't load and the way to fix this was restarting the app. However, it did not happen to me during the last few days, so maybe the problem has solved itself.
