They always pause at like 25 seconds that then stop working entirely while the script keeps running. Almost like they're corrupted? Is it just me?

Sounds more like you can’t get the bitrate needed to play the resolution you downloaded.

Why do downloaded SexLikeReal videos never work in SLR App or Heresphere?

SchnuppiLilac

hashes123 Which one of the download options? I think there are six

hashes123

SchnuppiLilac The 2.7gb one. 6k

SchnuppiLilac

hashes123 Okay, I downloaded the 2.7 GB 6K file from the download button next to the 'Original 6K' file (there is another download option for a 2.7 GB 6K file further up next to the 'Optimal 4K' options but I did not use it). Video works fine on Q2 in both DeoVR and Skybox, no stopping at 0:25.

hashes123

doublevr Do you think this might be a download manager issue? I'm running into the same problem on this video after it's downloaded: https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/slr-getaway-part-2-best-friends-forever-23114?tab=interactive

It just freezes sporadically in the SLR app.

hashes123

SchnuppiLilac Thanks for checking. I wonder if DoubleVR thinks it's a download manager issue

hashes123

SchnuppiLilac
I used the Max 6k one, not the one next to original... but since they're both 2.7gb it's probably the same file right?

hashes123

SchnuppiLilac I have 50gb available on main drive on my mac. And I'm downloading onto an SSD with 300gb avaliable

SchnuppiLilac

hashes123 That should be enough for the file sizes you usually download and for 2.7 GB in any case. But it won't be enough for the huge original files when they are >50 GB.

hashes123

SchnuppiLilac Ok thanks for your reply. Any other ideas why downloaded SLR videos end up freezing on both VLC and my Quest? Could it be some server issue since I'm downloading from Thailand? Or it the download manager corrupting them when downloads get paused/resumed?

SchnuppiLilac

hashes123 They look identical but not sure why they would provide two download options for the same file. In any case, I have checked both 2.7 GB versions now and both files work fine for me.

SchnuppiLilac

hashes123 Which app are you using to play these videos on your Quest Pro? And how do the videos get from your SSD on your Quest, are you streaming them over WiFi or do you copy them onto the Quest hard drive?

hashes123

SchnuppiLilac I use Android File Transfer to copy them onto the Quest hard drive. I have tested SLR app and Heresphere app

SchnuppiLilac

From all that you have described, I can find nothing that gives an indication why the videos should not play properly, so I'm at my wit's end.

As you were mentioning scripts, do you have the same problems when playing these videos without running scripts along with them?

JamzVR

Why not just try and download the file without using the download manager and see if the new downloaded file still cuts out at 25 seconds. Then you will know if it is the manager that is causing the problem. Which is more than likely since multiple videos are cutting out around the same time.
