had some friends on there getting a 1000bucks per million views before it all happened...it was an integral part of their finances...got cut down big time, but they're mostly still on the site, just not as excited and motivated
Okay folks, this is serious - No Alcohol, No drugs, No Nonconsensual
Just noticed a Realjam scene has gone with Valentina Lapiedra. Hot scene as well if a little rough around the edges. I assume it’s gone as she was holding a glass of champagne (probably not champagne) at the start to celebrate her boyfriend’s birthday and didn’t even take one sip of it.
It’s ridiculously paranoid to think anyone is removing credit card billing over that. Even if you were that concerned, just remove the first 10 seconds of the scene, you don’t need to pull the whole thing. No other site is panicking like this.
petermc Oh ok, I didnt realize that if there is only a "tiny, tiny, miniscule" amount of underage performers or human trafficking it should be alright for credit card companies to be perfectly ok. Wow, you blame conservative bigots but your stance is just as absurd as the one you claim to be responsible for your woes. Tube sites have been targeted more by actual porn studios since their inception than any legislation. Get over it, porn in the US continues to be a taboo subject and bad headlines like that will never result in inaction or easing of regulations by US companies. If Europe and the rest of the world are perfectly fine with a tiny amount of underage performers and human trafficking, then have at it.
Better yet, go complain to the japanese legislation instead, the CC companies may not be ok with certain subject matter but at least they dont censor any nudity. But thats not conservative bigotry right?
I'm done arguing about your first world problems
metichemsi I’m not saying a small amount is ok, (I actually said people should go to prison for that stuff) I’m saying they were treated disproportionately in comparison to non-porn sites that have way bigger issues with these things. It was not a move to curb underage and other illegal content. If it was, they would’ve shut the site down. It was part of an anti-porn agenda from the religious crazies in the US.
bacula8630 TBH this topic isn't one that I have any involvement with so I can't really give you a solid answer as to any plans/etc. Our head of Compliance is off this week but might be able to shed some light on this once he's back.
petermc comparing to facebook is not a good argument either, facebook is a communication platform not subscription site where you can purchase content. Any communication platform is subject to and has been used by people with ill intent. Chat rooms and forums used to be the same way before. You go after the individual offenders in those cases. Now, if FB was a subscription site that required CC payments to use, then we would have seen similar responses from CC companies. You have to keep in mind that most companies at play in these matters are publicly traded companies, and have stock prices to think about, it has nothing to do with the left or right, negative press or association with bad press is bad news. What you are asking for is something totally different, what you area asking for is a shift in the societal norms altogether, Europe is a far more liberal when it comes to sex and drugs and you want the US to be the same way, they are different cultures and it would be just as likely for the US to be as liberal as Europe as it seems likely that Japan will change it's censorship laws. That is simply not going to happen anytime soon.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it.

SLROriginals Bella Luna "Last Call" (which is set in a bar) is missing, will it be back?
This new no alcohol rules are a little crazy (and paranoid), there are alcohol advertisements everywhere, bars are in every movie and TV shows, for fuck's sake a most of "Cheers" or "How i meet you mother" is happening in a bar.

mirdumar I think the alcohol by itself is not condemned and you will still be able to pay for your liquor with your credit card. The compliance issue likely comes from the fact that alcohol (same as other drugs, hypnosis, weapons or blackmail) may be used as a means to force someone into non-consensual sex. A recent conversation in another thread indicates that even hangovers are non-compliant.
SchnuppiLilac exactly on point, even though they keep blaming it on conservative bigots haha

SchnuppiLilac I know that, but no other site (VR or otherwise) is as paranoid as SLR, i have checked and nobody but SLR removed scenes with alcohol or scenes set in bars.
metichemsi Extremist on both sides are crazy as fuck, and there are more and more of them each day.

mirdumar It is true that SLR may be most cautious company in the industry. I think they are aware and have explained a few times why they act in this way. I think it makes no sense at all to ban all prop alcohol in porn videos with professional actors while it is perfectly legal to have real sex with a real person that had a real drink or two, but I'd rather prefer some videos being edited or taken down over being informed one day, sorry guys, we are closing.
mirdumar 100% agree, it has become really toxic and polarizing how each side has been pulling to get as many people to one side or the other, while in reality most of us are a spectrum around somewhere in the center
JPMorgan CEO suggests government seize private property to quicken climate initiatives
In a letter to shareholders, Dimon wrote that 'permitting reforms are desperately needed to allow investment to be done in any kind of timely way. We may even need to evoke [sic] eminent domain'
take it the loudest voiced banker is talking about liberal/left leaning government...pretty sure it would not be a right leaning admin.
spanker some people are not ready to start having these type of mature conversations yet, and only blame "conservative bigots" for all their first world problems just like the left wing media tells them to think
unfortunately, we need the people making the brutal decisions to FEEL the pain...they're typically on a gated hill away from the mess they create in these places. the guy that started the SF downfall will be running for president

i guess we can keep this convo on the banks and whose behind them.

justsomedude101 I've noticed a lot of excellent JAV scenes missing from my playlists so I'm really really hoping you guys are doing something along the lines of editing and restoring the content. Hell, even to use the AI program being developed to make scenes passthrough, then forcing JAV scenes containing disallowed content to be passthrough only, would be better than not having the scenes at all. Or even cut out entire parts of scenes with disallowed content if it allows the rest to be restored.
JAV is why I signed up for SLR in the first place, and it'd be just a shame to completely lose so many amazing scenes due to something like a can of beer in the background. Especially when nobody except the payment processors even cares about that can of beer being there.
SLR should start its own bank. Call it Spank Bank.
Let us know when you IPO.

vrpicasso There should simply be credit card companies in Europe. I don't know what the EU is still waiting for. It's obvious that the US are a sinking ship that is getting more unreliable every day.
