The scene had technical flaws. No argument there. But I still feel that trying something new and cool outweighs the technical flaws.

There seemed to be a lot of things that arose that weren’t, or couldn’t be anticipated beforehand. And the guys did their best to work around the issues. I’m sure they learned a lot filming this scene. What to do and what not to do. And if they were to ever try a scene like this again. It would be miles better.

But that’s often the case when you’re trying something new and unique. So I’m willing to overlook the technical issues. And enjoy the fact that Alex, the crew, and the performers really did their best to push the envelope of VR Porn. And in that regard, I think the scene is a success.

bacula8630 agreed, never know what you need until you give it a go and then can take notes on how to prepare. i for one loved the scene for the attempt made by SLR.

Samsonite121 Thank you guys @Evan_Redstar. It's fixed now and for me it seems all former technical problems are gone. It's really worth a second, third,... try. The picture quality is really great now. rerun119 Also the voices are now in lip sync at the beginning. And for me it seems that Vegas outside the limo is sharper.

I didn’t realize they were putting out a revised version. What’s different? Might have to redownload the scene.

Samsonite121 I wonder why they would put out the video with these mistakes if they can easily fix them in the first place?

@Evan_Redstar I thought if you guys are not going to watch the scenes yourself that you were going to have at least a couple people watch them first before you put them out.

Are you guys really that understaffed that editing is done at the last minute? No time to check the quality of the edit. I think that I understand that hours of editing day after day could get hard to focus. I just don't understand the no quality check.
10,000 people watched the scene with all the mishaps in it. Most of them don't know it got re-edited. How would they know? Even if they did know, most people are not going to go watch an hour+ scene again.

@doublevr is talking about ROI with all the videos that you guys shoot. It seems like their video watch time is going to be greatly reduced if people see bad editing. For that video plus the next time they choose between watching a SLR video or a different company because of their past experience.

I don't run a company but this seems like the first thing you guys should make sure not to happen. A cheap fix for a big return on investment.

rerun119 You are wrong when you say that we do not watch scenes. We don't watch them in real time, that's true, because some of the scenes are around 2 hours long. In this scene stitching layer moved off for a very short period of time (around 5 minutes), so it's reason why we missed it. Please forgive us for this. We did homework with our editors on this pipeline issue.

          Morning Evan,

Could you briefly outline what was fixed in this scene. Trying to decide if it’s worth downloading the new version.

@alexnash can you please explain why you used the new 8K camera in Europe. The camera that you always use you had down to a science. With the 8K it looks like in all the scenes the camera is too far away. It's a heart breaker because I can't zoom it in close enough without the picture to really start to look shitty. I wish you would have had time to play around with it first to make sure that the distances looked correct. 🙁

rerun119 I replied to the comment thread on the video itself as well, but maybe this is a convo easier to talk about on the forum, so I'll paste my reply here as well:

Hmmm, are you guys using Deo/SLR streaming? Or downloading and using another app like Heresphere?

Rerun I believe you're a Pimax 8kx user like me too. I actually don't find the distance to be far or "twice the length" as rileyx mentioned. I mean, one of the complaints that Nash received previously was that his sitting cowgirl was too close. So now I see some course correct, and yes, it has an inch or two more "give", but to me it's pretty much perfect. I don't see it as giraffe cam at all (especially not the kind of giraffe cam I'm used to seeing with other studios). I see the camera distant pretty optimal for seated now. For laying down, I do see it as a tiny bit higher than usual though, but I've been seeing that lately on Nash's scenes regardless if he was using the 8k or the ZCam rig (ie the Blake Blossom & Angel Youngs scene).

Of course, I make sure that FISHEYE190 and RF52 are in the filename when I watch with Heresphere. But that is pretty much the default file name anyways, so I don't see that as an issue either~

I don't know, could be some trickery that was done to fix the scaling issue (previously the 8k canon vids were oversized scale, but now they look good). Maybe whatever "hack" that was used had an effect on distance (ie the distance from cam to cock)?

But yeah, basically, I'm not denying there is an issue, because you, unkb0b, and rileyx all sort of see the same thing... but I don't know man, I'm hyper sensitive to camera positioning, and I don't see anything "far" with the distance for these 8k Euro scenes. I mean, yes, it has slightly different positioning than previous ZCam scenes, but I don't see it nearly as drastically as what you guys are seeing. I'm wondering if we are experiencing totally separate visuals...

g2kbuffetboy Watch the scene Euro Trip: Good Student look where your nipples are when you are sitting down. She licks your nipples in beginning of the scene. Does it look too far down to you? They look like they are at my ribs.
I used DEO to stream them. Heresphere would probably fix some of it but I shouldn't have to use a different player to fix there bad camera lens.

@alexnash is there anything running or in the pipeline in your studio ? , it's been a long time since a last video in your studio. btw all the VRSPY's videos are so good, so your focusing on that studio as of now ?
