I got my Quest 2 last spring for only $299, so I wouldn't be buying it now, especially with Q3 due to come out in the Fall/Winter. If you don't have one yet, I'd just wait.
Quest Pro's initial price was a joke, I knew they were going to have to lower it big time. Still not worth $1000. It will eventually come down to probably $700 but by then Q3 will be out. I don't see why anyone would get the Pro when the Q3 is going to be just as good if not better and be less expensive.
