Looks very good so far, everything related to the handy worked.

    A couple of things.

    1. It would be nice to change the behaviour of deovr. Currently if I take my headset off the video and script stop (this is good), but as soon as deovr thinks the headset is back on it resumes the video and script, I would prefer if you had to hit the play button again after putting the headset back on (that is how heresphere behaves).

    2. Just now I exited deovr (maybe without exiting the video), and the script kept on playing, had to unplug the handy to get it to stop.

      scrptr9 Hey,

      1. Can you check in Global settings / Player / "Pause once headset is taken off" and see if that works for you.

      2. Did you force quit the app?

        @Sandi_SLR @raser1

Was there a drastic change "recently"? I'm getting weird framerates and drops by a HUGE amount.

Device: Quest 2, latest stable firmware
Prev SLR app version: 13.5? I can't remember the exact version. I was two versions behind the latest (current 13.7)
        Test video: https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/dick-runner-2049-ver-20-20788
Settings: all default. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice (using SLR Quest Setup under Windows)
        Vid settings: 2900p / h.265

I noticed Spatial Audio was obliterating my frames (between 16 and 24), so I disabled it. Frames went up but are still below 60 ( ! ) ranging from 40s to 55 max.

I tried other videos, and I'm having the same issues. Stuttering and frames in the 40-50s. I tried restarting the device, no improvements.

Additional settings: Handy, Passthrough, and Autofocus all disabled.

        Additional tests:

I downloaded the following vids (under "Valve Index, Oculus Quest 2, Rift, HTC Vive, HP Reverb, Windows MR, Pimax 👍👍👍" at the highest res, NOT THE ORIGINAL/RAW FILES):

I played them through SLR from local Quest storage: same issues, stuttering.

I then tried HereSphere, and both work smoothly.

        Any ideas? 😕

"Can you check in Global settings / Player / "Pause once headset is taken off" and see if that works for you."
Pause already works as expected, it is the resume I don't like. Maybe it is just me but I don't like the video and script resuming as soon as you start to put the headset back on, hersphere does not resume until you tell it to.

Not sure about 2., I wasn't using the handy, just had it plugged in to test the new features, took the headset off, and then I realized the handy was still running, so I put the headset on to quit but deovr was no longer running. I can't reproduce now though so maybe I did something abnormal.

scrptr9 Oh my bad, I see it now, misunderstood how it works, would make more sense to have it pause in both cases, with a difference of stay paused or start playing on putting the headset back on. I can't think of an reason of video playing while the headset is off. Thanks for pointing that out.

For 2. if you ever come across this again, please write us steps, optimally we should pause the toy on our side, a bit harder to do if you force close the app.

@Sandi_SLR thanks so much for the update! i had a couple questions/concerns.

i also am experiencing the same FPS issues that @thatoculusdude noted after this update.

            per the script playback:

            1) for some reason, this update made it so even though the SLR in-video player UI script section shows play/pause is correct, sometimes the script doesn't start and gets stuck on its first position. you can press the play/pause twice to kick start it back to working with the synced video, but just something i thought i would note since some people may think there is an issue with the scripts and dont know how to remedy it.

            2) i might have misinterpreted some notes from earlier, but i was hoping that the actual script range and edging range sliders were to be available in the SLR in-video player UI and not just in the haptics connect app (i am using keon for reference). i would really like to be able to adjust both of those sliders within the video playback without having to completely close the SLR app/open haptics connect/re-open SLR app. is this something that is planned and coming? or if not, can it be added to the list of future features if possible?

            thanks so much!!

bamjus In deovr, if you start a video, open the right menu, go to haptics, and click on handy, you will see the stroke range adjustment sliders.

scrptr9 im on keon, so i only see the toggles for script overlay, edging mode, and manual mode in the haptics part of the menu there...hm. hoping those sliders can be added for non-handy toys...

doefi3 Hi, I'm sorry if we haven't been entirely clear about the new TCode support.

The idea is that this replaces JoyFunPlayer for PC users. You simply plug in the USB, open the player on PC and you're good to go.

If you're using the Quest then JFP's still the way to go.

thatoculusdude Same on index. In addition, there's a very strong jitter/stutter when holding and moving the ui. As for local videos, there is now a weird delay when loading them. It starts out black, flashes a quick dull white, then loads the video normally, where before it was instant and smooth. The video itself plays fine as far as I can tell and the delay is only like .5-1 secs but still noticeable.

raser1 so the haptics will work if using link or airlink with quest? if yes might get a cheap gpu so can run it . Are you guys gonna make it work later with the sideloaded app also?
                      thanks

bamjus Hi, syncing those sliders with HC is not something that we can easily do unfortunately.

Are you frequently changing those ranges? I expected most users would set them inside HC and then basically never touch them again.

Sounds awesome, will test the Handy edging mode soon.
