rerun119 No idea how much SLR is even paying these studios on their site. But at $20 bucks a subscriber on average and accounting 4 videos a week. I dont know, but I'm assuming the girls alone would be maybe 500-1000 each scene? Dudes probably half of that, maybe 250-500 per scene. Location, no idea, maybe a couple hundred a day. You could technically shoot 4 scenes in one day, and if we just assume a location is anywhere between 250-500 per day, and you are a 2 man crew. Since the crew is that small, lets assume they are both personally invested and dont take payment unless they is profit, I would say the cost per month on a low end would be about 3,500 per month just on female/male talent and locations, this doesnt even account for makeup, wardrobe, or equipment. On the high end you could be looking at as much as 7000 a month, again just for talent and location, not accounting for anything else. So if your subscription is 20 bucks a month, i am assuming they would need at the very minimum between 175 and 350 subscriptions a month to keep up with just those type of expenses. I would hope that some of these studios made a nice amount of money at the very start and invested some of it on a nice home they could later use as multiple shooting locations or studio space that can be modified at a much lower cost, saving money later on, but I have no idea. I'm just guessing here on a very limited amount of variables. I'm sure these guys who are actually doing this can give us a better idea of how many subscribers they would need and what ballback range these other costs are.
