I have downloaded 4 scripts to my computer but only one works

I can't figure out why they don't work. For all 4 of them I created a different folder for each video. I put the video in there and the script. I then copied and pasted the funscript description from the script as the title for the video. When you look in the folder in DEO they only show one file.

One of them works and shows the interactive blue symbol above the video title in the DEO app when playing. The other 3 don't show it.

I thought maybe it had something to do with the folder so I put another one in the same folder with the one that already worked. I separately put the script and video in it and they merged together again like they are the same name.

Can you just name them "SLR handy #1" for both? I wouldn't think so but just asking. I did try to copy and paste one going from the video title and put that under the script name but it still didn't work. So now if it needs to be the script title then I don't know how to get back to it because I changed it.

Also sometimes the videos would end at 98% finished when downloading with chrome. I also tried to download them with FDM and they stopped at 98% and I can't get them to complete the last 2%. That's not a big deal to me because it's the last minute of the video. Could that be the problem?

rerun119 Not sure of exactly what you are trying to do (what vr headset, etc.), but did you read through this:

If you were using a quest2 headset, and have a video file on your computer, and you can stream that video from your computer using deovr, then the easiest way to have deovr see the script is to put the script onto the headset in a directory named interactive.

video name on computer: SLR_LethalHardcoreVR_Blast Off_2700p_17386_LR_180.mp4
script name on headset: SLR_LethalHardcoreVR_Blast Off_2700p_17386_LR_180.funscript

You can download sidequest (a computer app from the internet), using it you can connect to your quest2 headset, make a directory on your quest2 headset, and then copy the funscript into that directory.

Personally I use xbvr (a program that runs on your computer) that manages all the videos and funscripts, and can interact seamlessly with deovr or heresphere.

Definitely make sure the video is fully downloaded 100%, otherwise will cause issues

no you cannot do that as that does not provide EXACT same filenames

Here's a better example that keeps all info proper and functional:

Maybe the other filenames have 'funny' characters in it which will not allow the funscript to be read

Avoid all funny characters in BOTH video and script file, so avoid characters like - or _ or . or , or ' or # etc

Also be safe and ensure your folder names dont have those characters as well

I think that could be a big problem, but most likely you have some other issues as well.

From what you posted, I'm not sure you understand file extensions. Everything after the last "." is the file's extension. Every video I've ever downloaded from SLR is in the format "filename.mp4" That is, they have an "mp4" extension. So, making MKX200 the extension is probably not helpful, if that's what you're doing.

If the player is not seeing the video, then you probably don't have the correct file extension.

So, to clarify: The videos should be named either "video_name.mp4" OR "video_nameMKX200.mp4"

The funscript file should be named "video_name.funscript" OR "video_nameMKX200.mp4"

Whether you use MKX200 depends on whether it is a 200 degree video.

scrptr9 Thanks, I'll read all that again. I have a Pimax 8K so I store everything on the computer. The deovr app or heresphere just uses the hard drive folders on my computer to run the videos.

The script and the video file need to be renamed EXACTLY the same and in the EXACT same folder - Copy paste filenames to be safe, and avoid renaming using any complex characters e.g.:

As far as I can tell this is not true, every SLR video I have ever downloaded ends with .mp4

I don't think you can name a video with *.mkx200 and expect it to work.

i.e. videos are named something-MKX200.mp4, never something.MKX200

Thank you everybody for helping. I'm an idiot when it comes to computers but I learning slowly only because of you guys and wanting to watch porn in vr so bad.

You guys helped and I got it to work now. When I read "exactly the same name" I thought that meant copy and paste the exact same name including the .funscript on bath files. Its a lack of understanding what all the names and dots mean.
