I still think a propper AI masking tool and cut out background is the way to go.
I have 200 videos into passthrough now and some of them are like incredible. LIKE WOAH

Im using capcut,

      sletje Yep we are betting on same technology, its just not there yet quality wise.

      Another contender will be "text to video" revolution with AI, that one will be wild.

                yeah only problem im running into right now is that i can download only 3 scripts per month.......
                Wish i could download them for the all the videos i made into passthrough 🙁

                Sandi_SLR any advice on how to assemble the alpha to use it on premiere, cant figure it our for the life of me

                    This may be a dumb question, but is the only way in DeoVR to use the passthrough correctly is by streaming? The passthrough doesn't seem to work when playing a local file via PCVR/Link cable

                      rsd3c Link is not supported yet. Should work if loaded locally. Will check if Link is ready for integration

                        metaverse Thank you for sharing this. What I was trying to accomplish was to be able to manually insert my own custom BG on one of your new alpha videos. Because they are in alpha, then the normal keying of the green doenst work anymore. What I was asking is if there is a simple way for us to take one of your published alpha videos and key out the background on a program like premiere and add our own backgrounds. From my testing so far, without the original alpha channel you made for your videos, it's almost impossible to "reverse" this process on our own. What I was wondering is if you could share the alpha channel you created for those alpha scenes that we can download and use on premiere to add our own backgrounds on those videos.

                            metichemsi Oh, that's a little harder.
                            I can make a preset to reverse alpha to remove background, but will take some time.

                                metaverse understood, you guys dont save a copy of the source alpha separately? Your software solution has you add the video and the source alpha separately before it spits out the finished product, I was thinking your team just has a backup of the source alpha for all of these scenes, we can simply use that to easily replace the backgrounds ourselves.
