Though one of the biggest issues with HS is that's it's TOO much control imo. There are so many settings/parameters you can mess around with but there's not much tutorial or explanation on what they actually even do. I've been trying to get the creator to simplify the design a bit...take away some of the options because 9/10 times you don't need to even use them and they kind of get in the way and make it more confusing than it has to be. DEO is much more user-friendly in that regard.

DEO also takes forever to boot up. HS when launched is loaded in like less than 5 seconds...for me DEO takes well over 10 seconds and sometimes it's been over 20. A small thing but enough of a difference to mention.

HS has no Passthrough settings at all though, so DEO clearly wins there as you guys are already integrating that into the app and trying to make it better and HS doesn't even have that capability at the moment.

Hurto11 Thx for making a great point. Improving Deo response time is definitely a priority πŸ‘

metaverse Just hold both triggers and you be able to move around the picture.

That's helpfull too, ive started using that more instead of the trigger for pitch, but it just for Side to side up and down, hs you can do that plus twirl the your wrist for the yaw, you have to use it to see what I mean.

On deo I'll push both triggers but sometimes it'll bring up the player menu, it's like you gotta hit the triggers just right to use the function. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

And rarely do I have to use the yaw, so it's really not that big of a deal, but interesting how hs "trigger hold" works. And it does move smoothly like a camera

Hs has free demo with all functions if anyone else wanna use it.

Really that's all i think deo needs
That trigger thing we talking about
    A lil Better sharpen 🀏
And more zooming % in the 6dof and be able to zoom in and out while it's on.
Which is called "motion" in hs
    Edit: Oh and SMB SUPPORT!

All that other stuff, Tagging videos making Playlist...I don't need that, but that's just me.

Hurto11 Though one of the biggest issues with HS is that's it's TOO much control imo.

I just stick to the "basic controls" menu

Incase no one knows this in hs if you visit a vr site it'll add all the videos from that site into your recent media, lol like you watched all them videos...just letting yall know incase you don't like to leave any evidence behind.

It can be cleared tho. πŸ‘

Edit: and if your clearing recent streaming files make sure you're just clearing the recent list not deleting, think if u hit delete u might delete it off ur computer, I read somewheres some one say it doesn't work, but be cautious with clearing recent list. It'll ask you before you do anything.πŸ‘

Watching a presentation on deovr about deovr. Was great. πŸ‘

Imo deovr should be its own identity
      Example, they say "deovr metaverse"
Just call it the deoVRse, yall know oreo cookie is calling their brand oreoverse, vive has vive verse.
"Deoverse" πŸ‘ I like to do it with the VR tho, DeoVRse πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ....

Cool presentation tho, the deo touch was interesting. πŸ‘

So, in a laying cg position you'd actually feel weight on you? Ffs this going get crazy πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€£

Jacksonjdr94 Grab the trigger and orientate the quest controller as if you were holding the camera.

That's what it feels like, like moving a smooth camera.

        5 days later

Vrsumo2017 yes, the smoothness in heresphere's image alignment/centering is pretty satisfying and allows fine adjustment with ease
plus it allows yaw adjustment as was previously mentionedin this thread.

To me the easily adjustable yaw function is a huge and vital convenience.

I watch a lot of doggystyle scenes and usually after 20-30 seconds the performers' vertical orientation have slightly moved relative to the camera. Which is to be expected, people aren't robots.

In HS I can compensate fir this momentarily without even opening any menus.

With deovr I just tolerate the skewed image coz I don't wanna stop the video, navigate to the appropriate slider and fix it every 20-30 seconds (sometines less).

For anyone comparing Heresphere and DeoVR alignment, we have Roll disabled (named Jaw πŸ™„) because it breaks the stereo, why it works in HS is because of Autofocus feature (feel free to disable it and try rolling the dome).

I find it way smoother in HS thou and that is certainly something we can better in Deo, also we can remove the vignette, I guess your inner ears are used to rotating worlds by now πŸ™‚

doublevr don't have much to add since most have said the same but one feature not mention is a loop function A-B is nice but always the right tool for the job.

I just want to be able to vertically tilt again with thumbstick

Tcboo128 in deo? You can...u gotta set the pitch in player settings...

If that's what you're talking about

Vrsumo2017 yeah that’s what I mean. But can I set it so the right stick is Left/Right for seeking and Up/Down for tilting? That used to be default for me, but I can’t figure out how to get it back to that?

Tcboo128 yeah, it's in the settings and go in player settings, I'd reset to default first, cus your left and right should automatically be for seeking by default...

So, hit reset to default first, then click on pitch in the list and push up on the joystick and then select the green arrow to confirm.

Hey this off topic, but about deo...
On deo.com on my phone there's videos there that not showing up on deovr app, it's quite a few too.

HS was intimidating at first so I avoided it for ages (and the cost is a disincentive).

However, now it's all I use except when browsing DEO to find content for downloading. The main feature for me is the ability to save scenes that were shot poorly (most studios suffer from this). It can even save some 8k scenes that have awful scaling issues. Now, when a scene is good but technically flawed, instead of instant deletion I can maybe get it watchable - mostly this is fixing scale with the combo of zoom and stereo adjustment. But also the image control is excellent, including keyframes for adjusting only parts of a scene. And being able to save a preset then apply to similarly graded scenes by the same studio is a game changer.

Just today I saved "Shower Me With Love" starring Chloe Amour from MilfVR. On DEO it's a disaster, terrible scaling and shit color grading. With HS and some tweaking, it's now almost perfect and becomes an instant classic.

If SLR's competitors were smart they would collaborate and invest in Heresphere, make it free and more intuitive, and promote it as the default option for playing / streaming. However I don't have much faith in the business acumen of some of these studios, they think short term and either don't have the funds or the balls to invest in the best customer experience.
