Idk, I tried it but it's to confusing and with no sliders, I have to type in the #s, confusing and kinda frustrating. I just gave up 
Jumping into pass through with regular vrp videos has to be an easy method, deos pass through is fast and easy to jump in to pt. 
This hs pt is like rocket science

In HS you can adjust values by holding the grip button over the value and using the thumbstick up and down for big steps, and left and right for small steps. Holding the grip button also gives you a tooltip, which could be helpful.
Hurto11 So pretty useless when using regular vr vids
PT on regular videos is pretty useless here too, you either end up with furniture and junk all over the place that couldn't be removed or performers with horrifying missing eyes (or both).

The dev has been working on a big UI overhaul, but it's not expected for a while.
Vrsumo2017 It automatically detects normal PT videos, not sure what you are talking about. And in the settings, there's a very easy tab to manually turn it on or off with one button.
And like someone else said, turning normal VR into PT doesn't work well with any player atm.

It varies from video to video, I found many regular videos that have worked really good and sum very close to alpha productions.
Plus im not to picky, if I find me a good laying cg rcg and there's maybe a door in bg or a few pictures on the wall I'm fine with that. But I found plenty of regular vrp that worked good

Thoes are easy methods to help find pt with Deovr pt settings, its fast and gets you there quick, if the video doesn't work well with them easy methods pt #s then it's on to the next one.
I'm sure hs works but trying to get into a pt was confusing and took to long, I never found a good pt hack.
And it has them drip icons to select the color you want to erase but they didn't help the models body skin got transparent and I had a video that had white walls in the back so it should worked good, idk maybe I doing it wrong but still it was confusing.

JDubs2121 Also DeoVR said there would be the option for 120fps on quest 3 with this update and that's still not an option
It sounds like fixing this issue requires updating the Oculus SDK, which will be part of upcoming releases. I don't have an exact ETA, so we ask for you patience for a little bit longer while the team works on it!
I'm sure its been mentioned but Heresphere is great because of:
-auto focus tech, really helps overall and does wonders for sub 7k content
-much better zoom in/out, in deo picture gets warped
-resolution boost or smth, works, sharper image

I noticed recently that HereSphere added DirectShow support, which was easy to set up. You just follow a link to download codecs (same as if you've added LAV filters before.. but even if you haven't it's just a download and basic install).. then in the HereSphere app option you switch from Media Foundation to DirectShow.. that simple and it now plays seemingly every video from the few I tested instead of giving error messages on many videos previously
HereSphere still doesn't support photos though.. and can still be a pain in the azz to set up controls. DeoVR is easier, can view photos (at least jpgs or something.. many not pngs.. has some support either way) and I'm sure directly viewing SLR is a much better experience.
So downloaded videos, I'm likely switching back to HereSphere again with this improved compatibility (due to the better visuals with better autofocus, etc as others have mentioned and I experienced already), but if I want quickness, ease of use, SLR site support, photos, then I'd use DeoVR
doublevr I like deo better than HS with a few exceptions... the fact that I have a difficult time getting deo and my local media server to play nicely with each other as it seems deo only likes to find and or recognize dlna servers and I find smb easier to manage since I put all my shit in the same three folders (one for dl's in progress, one for completed dl's and finally one for failed/interrupted dl's I have yet to fix/renew dl token/link to resume and successfully complete dl which then triggers the file being moved to the completed dl folder). Deo really likes finding and displaying my dlna servers though. Just no smb... My real question that i signed up to this forum for though is how are y'all getting hs to play non local videos on HS without clicking the dl button and using one of the 30 dl limit slots? I primarily use HS because my connection isn't usually fast enough to stream 8k so I almost always have to dl for smooth playback....... HOWEVER, in the middle of the night, when bitchass Verizon towers haven't got my ass deprioritized, streaming on demand 8K with minimal pausing is totally within my acceptable tolerance/frustration ratio. Am I missing something or how do I get the API to load on HS? TIA and apologies for my questionable use of the terminology.. I did the best I could to make it make sense but I'm far from a guru or even a Dev just an enthusiast/hobbyist at best so if something doesn't make sense then that would probably be why.
fabtheo1 api response time it's being fixed right now. Something that we can be exceptionally great at with the recent architectural changes coming from super strong new back end team.
Whenever DeoVR team gets string Unity engineers they will address the rest of it. There's everything in place to get Deo on top of the game. Doing our best to secure top unity heads

fenderwq Performance - I haven't tested this in a while but it used to be I could play the original VrAllure files (with 100% super sampling on Pimax 8kx with my RTX 2070) on HereSphere and not on DeoVR. DeoVR would become pretty much become unresponsive when I tried to play these vids.
I wasted a full hour troubleshooting this problem. These videos only run smoothly on Deo if the user turns off the options for Direct Show both in the settings and the viewing panel. Additionally, as of two weeks ago, these files required a separate installation of LAV filters from the filters included in the K-Lite Mega codec pack. For some reason, these changes are only required for streaming them through VirtualDesktop or OculusLink, however. If you have the patience for copying them to the device, the clarity is exceptional.
