Quest Pro is my the most favorite, yet high price must be keeping people away from it.

Pico4 is picking up nicely. With native DeoVR support on Pico it should be growing even faster.

Wow, I didn't know that Quest 2 has such dominance and it's even getting stronger...

Amost 80% with Quest 2 and Rift combinned, that's pretty much a Meta monopoly right there... 🙁

Pico 4 with 1,3% is completely irrelevant right now as is pretty much every other headset besides the two mentioned above, mine sadly included.

Personally, I never use the app though, only downloads. I'd really be interested how the picture looked like when you're not only looking at streaming data within the app. Make some solid active research about that.

LordCrash I think Pico 4 will raise now some points as DeoVR is on the official app store since 2 days for free. Before I had to sideload DeoVR to Pico 4 via Sidequest. As a owner of Quest 2, Quest Pro and Pico 4 I use mostly Pico for SLR now as the visual experience is really good and better than Quest 2 and it's lightweight and really easy to use. Additionally there is color passthrough with DeoVR and worth experimenting.

LordCrash That's also a reason why they are experimenting with passthrough as the majority of users can try the experience with Quest 2 (but only low res b/w).

LordCrash In the meantime I think the majority of users (mostly coming new to VR tech via Quest headsets) is only streaming via DeoVR or SLR app. I'm with SLR since 2016 and first tried it with a cardboard and was overwhelmed about the experience. In that time downloading only was the standard and I filled myriads of external harddrives with VRP stuff from various VRP sites including SLR. I stopped downloading everything from SLR in 2021. Now I'm downloading only the diamonds from SLR and doesn't bother with the download limits. An exception are times some studios are announced to leave SLR (Like VRBangers / VRConk last year). In such situations I would like that downloads for such studios doesn't count against the download limit!

Samsonite121 I stopped downloading everything from SLR in 2021

I will never stop downloading since streaming is offering only shite quality in comparison. But I only download the scenes I'm really interested in and I also only keep those scene that I might watch another time, everything gets deleted again after watching once. But that's not what this thread is actually about.

doublevr has it? It hasn’t even gone up a full percentage point.

Will be interesting to see if anything will ever come close to meta/oculus headsets. I think Pico 4 is probably a year or two too late to really do anything. It will still be a while before all the apps and peripherals are available for it and, by that time, Quest 3 will probably be out and taking over unless it’s a silly expensive price.

I have a quest 2, but will be switching to pico 4 very soon! It's too freaking bad they dont sell it in the U.S, smh.
