Welp ptfam, I've had the pico bout a week now, idk but I'm kinda not impressed with the pt, for regular vrp visual wise it's clearer and fov is bigger, battery in the back I'm not fan of while I'm laying, I could do with out that.

Pt wise I haven't found that same experience I found when using the pt with quest 2 for the first time.

For one I think the environment looking threw pt looks a Lil bigger then normal, with quest 2 sure it's black and Grey but the environment looked normal size, also with quest 2 I could make my room dark with just my PC on in bg and I could make it look like a noir scene or lower the brightness in deo and make it look like you having 5am wake up sex.

With pico the lower the light the more grainy it gets, it also gets these redish grain the darker the room is. I've asked around and sum users say they get the same issues. They say more light the better pt. 🤦‍♂️

But idk, maybe it's the slightly larger environment, the battery in the back, or just having actual color it's self that throws me off, cuz I know with quest 2 I had hella fun using it for pt.

It's spring break, so haven't really used it for a session, I just been looking at few vids in pt.

Sofar, that same excitement I had with quest 2 with pt, I haven't found that with the pico 4.

It's a good headset, light weight, bigger fov, lens clearer, definitely faster loading then quest 2. But pt with color, Humm meh.

I thought about this too one time, I thought Humm but with color the pt might not look good cause you'll have your bg with color and then add a image with pt and that image gonna look off, at least with a black and white pt the bg is just that one color and it's not awkward looking cus the model not matching with the real bg color. Idk 🤦‍♂️

Maybe next week after a few sessions my mind will change about the color pt with the pico4.

    And I have my deo zoom at -0.80 set as default,
    Cuz I find my self zooming in more with these bigger lenses, mostly back to normal default zoom. 🤔

    I still find scenes where the scale looks big in my environment, like that classic last scene I just posted 👆, I had to zoom out and make the scale smaller with the hos, turnt out pertty good 👍

    Pico pt is aight could be a Lil better, hopefully quest 3 looks better, but I dout it, the clearer HD pt will be on the quest 4. Always Gotta have a reason to upgrade 🤦‍♂️💰💰💰💰

    But simply for the color pt and strap id buy the q3 next. 🤷‍♂️

        But ultimately I wanna be able to dim my room turn on disco party lights and those light reflects on to the models. Not possible if the room has to be well lit for the pass through to look decent.

        The Lower the light, he grainyer the pass through looks 🤦‍♂️

                Ptfam, I'm using the pico 4 to use pt now, I've noticed my "optional" zoom and hos is kinda of a different pattern now, I'm guessing it's cuz the bigger lenses for the fov it's noticeably bigger then quest 2. So I think ima skip the posting of optional zoom and hos, by now it should be a no brainer to use if its needed cuz the scale to big or small. If the scale looks big you click one or two - to the left or scale to small click + one or two to the right on the "horizontal off set"

                I still have my zoom at - 0.80 set as default but with the pico I noticed I been zooming in which I rarely did on quest 2 or my gearvr. So must be something bout these bigger fov lenses. 🤷‍♂️

                Still trying get use to this pico tho, battery in the back of head not much of a fan of, users talk about being immersed or this and that takes them out of immersed and I'm here with a battery in back of my head rubbing on my pillow and I'm reminded I have a headset on, so idk bout these "elite straps" SMH 🤦‍♂️ they good for gaming but for laying cg rcg 👎

                the quest 2 with strap is good but the headset it self front heavy, gearvr was a strap too but that shit was very light, kinda like this pico but with no battery in the back, i had Hella fun with the gearvr. I miss my gearvr sometimes 😕 great times 😏🥂

                  Ghosting effect, if you go more - on the offset you can blend your body in with male model, cool visual 😎 ...lol 🤦‍♂️

                  Vrsumo2017 I agree, the Q2's elite strap can make cg scenes uncomfortable. I usually have a blanket scrunched up over a pillow for extra cushion and so I don't feel I'm putting too much pressure directly on the battery.

                    Just to clarify, i pick up the provided settings and insert them into the scene passthrough settings, so they are available on the app.
                    I might miss some days but i'd come back and insert the new ones, so no worries.
