The admin and mods represent SLR very poorly, fighting with customers left and right. There are professional ways to work with customers who are upset, and the mods on here just make it worse.
I will accept the job for $120K a year.
Thanks.

lol these guys are turning jerking off into an insanely immersive, transcendental experience with a platform that posts dozens of new videos every day for a flat monthly fee that is likely not high enough to cover the bandwidth costs, and actively exploiting the rapid pace of new tech to just keep improving it, i think i'll give them a pass for being a little snarky when dudes here are openly antagonizing them
i was pretty disappointed over the holidays too but it completely makes sense, the whole internet was being hammered and it broke a lot of stuff, my issue turned out to just be the old and shitty download manager i was using
DragonMaster69420 I still think they should be professional, even if it's porn, and even if it is snarky dudes openly antagonizing them. There are professional ways to handle it.

120k a year?!? id do the job for lifetime premium and a couple hundred a week!
can i apply for the position SLR Admins? itll be a part time second job for me but id work hard, represent your company well and do whatever i can to improve customer satisfaction
DragonMaster69420 No company will get away with bad PR unfortunately. You can build the most groundbreaking / planetsaving tech... but if the company has a horrible PR reputation then it's only going to hurt your trust and reliability in the longterm. Trust and reliability are the the most difficult metrics to build up as company which money cannot fix, only time.
Look at Tesla how owners are plan to sell both the car and stock just because of the CEO going rampant. Tesla will be fine as usual but a badly managed PR situation can turn even the best companies into a crisis. This will push back not only your growth but also the potential profits as a company back by years.
However with that being said, I do find people blowing things way out of proportions regarding SLR and their PR management. Yes there is always room for improvement but I've seen companies doing way worse. Even the snarky comments to customers can be amusing from time to time and be part of the SLR branding... they just need to do it in a less insulting and more tasteful way imo
damian you apparently haven't seen them throwing a literal fit on reddit. The CEO(?) at the time started calling users names and what not. I'm pretty sure he got banned off the oculusnsfw sub.
damian look at OP's specific case and tell me SLR staff somehow handled that wrong, dude just needs to chill out with some post-nut clarity
lots of companies get away with shitty PR as long as they maintain their products/services and the customer base is apathetic and/or stupid enough...christ's sake look at activision/blizzard/king, they've been on a 3 year straight run of L after L after L after L in public perception but the last call of duty was good so no one cares, the last wow expansion was good so no one cares, overwatch 2 is fun to play so no one cares, blizzard kids are some of the most left-leaning blue-haired foot fetishists out there yet despite how horribly they treat their employees the kids playing wow and overwatch will still surrender their money to them
bobbytables man who cares? that's actually pretty funny, are there screenshots?
as long as the exchange between money and product/service is fulfilled, why does everyone have to be Nice Online all the fucking time? we need to get over this and ourselves, social media is cancer that's enabling the lamest people to have a say in anything and pretend their parasocial relationships with content creators mean anything
i don't care if elon musk replies to some 14 year old on twitter with a cry laugh emoji, it's not a tragedy
I could simply delete the posts, or even ban the users. But I don't. (What other mods do, is up to them.) - If some one is going to make public statements, I'm going to publicly answer, within reason.
The bad PR is just a loud minority. For many users I even go out of my way trying to help them with stuff that isn't even my job to do. Come check for important stuff during weekends and holidays, even though I don't have to. Yesterday, Saturday, I spent 5 hours on tickets and support via Discord, which I don't get paid extra for. I do this completely voluntarily for the user's benefit. - There are of course also always things I just ca not do, or say.
I'm sure it'll get deleted, but for example, here's how answers someone else in the industry asking a technical question, by using a derogatory term meaning "gay" in russian: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculusnsfw/comments/wfbuqr/slr_originals_is_getting_back_on_zcam_k2_pro/iiy3epl/
for those who are a fan of heresphere, here's him lashing out against them and claiming they are stealing from deovr: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculusnsfw/comments/vrjk9a/slr_has_removed_their_public_api_to_prevent/iewuefm/
here he is throwing a fit over someone giving some pretty constructive feedback (and compliments): https://www.reddit.com/r/oculusnsfw/comments/u6tapc/why_does_the_ceo_of_slr_udoublevr_always_act/i5csy7o/
I could post more. Dude has a really bad reputation on reddit based on how he acts
bobbytables Can you please try and not make a bunch of posts in rapid succession?
3 posts isn't that bad, but I want to prevent it becoming many more.
Rakly3 these are legit posts
Forum is not that busy to keep things strict and it takes time to come up with those.
bobbytables thx for bringing it up. There's a positive change in that direction.
