Kinda off topic but still involves pt...

Man, high as fuck watching regular vr videos... of courses the pt not gonna be as perfect as a greenscreen video specifically for pt but when you haf, got the Spotify on....none of them minor flaws on regular vr videos matter, in fact doing an on the fly vr remix...like, I'd put sharpness way up, maybe change the body color with hue, and I had this thought man if there was a glitch slider effect I could make her glitch and it would look like I'm in some kinda cyberpunk computer glitchyness sex scene, and if i could add effects to her voice like sum echo that really be bad ass, you basically be "remixing" on the fly. Fuck, I even thought... hell, be cool if I could add like ar type of blinking stars different colors, looking like it my room would add more effect.

Lol, but I was haf of course, so these thoughts came to mind. 🤣🤦‍♂️

But, was just a thought 👍

          I'm basically doing on the fly remixes.

          Big upside for using downloads, you can use the trigger to skip forward and back easily doing quik repeats or go along with music in the bg.

          What if could just change the color of the models hair 🤔...in pt

            I'm a bit late to the discussion, so apologies if you all already discussed this, but are there not multiple software packages available that can chroma key out the background of a human subject even without a green screen? Hell, even videoconferencing apps can do it realtime now. And isn't the objective of passthrough in SLR to almost always key out just the background and allow users to experience the human actors in their room?? So then why not just run videos through keying software first, embed the key layer into the video file, and then the passthrough toggle in SLR can toggle it on or off? Then rather than having all these sliders to fiddle with, you just toggle ON/OFF, and then maybe there is an edge width and strength sliders, like in the Touchly app. This seems totally possible, and if SLR was the first to start doing this post-processing step, rather than the studios themselves, then it would give users an incentive to use SLR over other services.

            I've been a long-time passthrough enthusiast, and while the initial integration was cool, and fun to play with, it already seems majorly outdated. Its too much work for the user to dial in a decent setting every time, and it feels time to integrate a proper passthrough toggle that ensures that you are viewing a clean and professionally done video effect.

              Hey, more things that came up lately are:

              • custom BG (like you can set it for the app) instead of your headsets camera
              • and also we noticed its hard to remove greenish edges on greenscreen releases without removing details like fine hair strands, we will try fixing this edge by desaturating it and giving an option to make it lighter or darker

              So expect this too 😉

                Sandi_SLR did yall see my suggestion about adding an undo redo option in the pass-through options. Example: I could have a good pt going but if I decide to choose a different color to get something better sometimes it might not work, and then I gotta find my previous settings, would be convenient if I could just hit undo to go back to my previous settings I had.

                One time I did that, took like 5 minutes to re-find a decent setting I had. I thought if I could hit undo would be great. 🤷‍♂️

                    Vrsumo2017 Hey, a proper undo system would be a lot of work, I see your point and I know you are on a mission, but I can't allocate resources to it ATM.

                          I feel like using the PT features really drains the hell out of the Quest 2 battery, is this normal? I know it requires a lot of of processing power but damn. I went from like 100% to 50% in 20 minutes skipping through videos and messing around with settings.

                          Also, right now there's really not too many that seem to work all that well. The ones that do work though give you a really immersive experience. I find that it just takes way too long to get things set up right though. Even if you're able to get rid of the background and isolate the model....then you have to adjust the scaling/zoom/horizontal offset etc. to get her to look like she's in the room properly. By the time I get it all looking good, you lose your hard-on. Wish there was a quicker way to get there. Like if all the videos could have a sort of "default passthrough" that gets you 80% there and then you just have to tweak a few things. Oh well. Excited for this tech to continue to get better.

                            Hurto11 to be honest we didn't test the battery, so I can't confirm, but it could be. The app is cpu hungry as it is, trying to play 8k video.
                            Yes most wont work well, thats why we will add more colors options to get even better control. You can consider this as a transition period, before we figure out how to remove BG with AI.
