Passthrough features

as a passthrough enthusiast like you
I would like to thank all devour developers.
because they have done a great work, especially with passthrough.
For me, pt on version13.3 was also faster
but version 13.5 is more accurate.
But I found the faster way
I hope maybe it will help
Of course it depends on the background.
I always start like this
first:
hue 50
saturation 100
brightness 100
color rang 500
Second:
After that
i just try to modify hue to see if it works and when not ..
- then i try to do the same thing with color rang
I always put
saturation 100
brightness 100
and I don't touch them
and usually the hue rang between 30 t0 60
color rang between 450 to 550
water10fall I always put
saturation 100
brightness 100
Yeah G, that's what I was doing too, and move hue and color range, I few times I got a quick pass-through but other times it didn't work, or maybe I didn't do the method right...
But for sum reason when i found a pt quik I notice the square box ended on green, did you get that too?
- Edited
Vrsumo2017
yes exactly
hue is most imoprtant
then comes color range
Maybe they could put a "set as default" so you won't set it everytime.. but then again the settings do stay in place for each video we set up for pt. Idk
I think they'll get it down where it's super quick to find pt.
But yeah 13.3 was very fast, still is

for me with this method
it takes like 20 seconds
and pt works very good on 2d videos
i hope just if we could fix the screen postion in 2d videos
water10fall Wait, u could use pt on 2d videos? I didn't know that. I'll check it out when I get a chance this weekend.
water10fall i hope just if we could fix the screen postion in 2d videos
What do you mean?
I zoom in and position where ever I want the screen to be. Literally had a few hotties instructing a work out in front of me, was better then looking at a screen.
But ultimately it's better with a vr camera but 2d content developers could definitely target vr users with tags like "pass-through" "vr ready" or what ever. and I think filming in portrait helps too.
Man one day these headsets will zap out holograms and projections. Watch

yes just get some greenscreen video from youtube...
here one good example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnTu7SDWSMA&ab_channel=Impostor
enjoy Shia LaBeouf in your room ^^...
but problem for me here is that you can't move around much and the player like follows the headset if you start moving which don't happens in openbrush...
in openbrush you can freely walk towards the objects, models, player...and that is rly nice...
but openbrush lacks the greenscreen cutout function and it dont supports clips with transparent background...=/
i hope deovr makes it like openbrush where you can just grab the player and move, scale at positon you want and after you can freely walk in your room same like it works in openbrush...
im rly bad at explain things but @water10fall understand it right and what i mean and what deovr lacks of... ^^

dudu32 i hope deovr makes it like openbrush where you can just grab the player and move, scale at positon you want and after you can freely walk in your room same like it works in openbrush...
Read my comment up there 10days ago
Starts off with
"Will yall be using overlay videos?"
We might be talking about the same thing.
There's a program you create "a scene" and your room will be filled up with ar images in place.
Read my comment. scroll up 10 days.
Let me know what you think.

i mean
now in deovr with 2d videos when you zoom in or drag up or down, that will ruin the scale because the deovr is designed for vr not 2d.
and like what @dudu32 mentioned here:
"i would like to see options like move the picture at any position so that it stays at that position even then when i move around in my room "
"if i want move around in my room then the picture or flat clips in passthrough follows the headset"
so i mean basically
it's like 6dof but in our real room not inside the 2d video, so we can walk in our room and have a floating screen or pic , like when we have a real tv .
a lot of apps have this option
like skybox
and oculus browser and player
and even deovr has that with main UI
so you can go closer to the main bage of UI and the screen stay fix.
i don't know if you know open brush app
but it has exactly that and it supports just 2d and pic.
(overlay videos and pic)
and pic with transparent (with png extension) are great.
Maybe if you try it then you will get what i mean.

yes.

something like this.
just try openbrush and experiment with it in passthrough...
try watch clip there while in passthrough or drop an high res image but first cutout background in photoshop and save as png and move to folder...
there two folders 1 for videos 1 for pictures png,jpg...
for high res images you can use: https://www.imagefap.com/
sort by high quality and there many you can find...
even 3d model folder exist but sadly it don't works.
its rly nice.
i just wish it would work with gifs and greenscreen clips. ^^

i use photoroom app to make transperant pics it's very easy it has batch option so you can make 50 pics if you like with one single click and save them as png pic
water10fall floating screen or pic , like when we have a real tv .
a lot of apps have this option
like skybox
Wait, skybox does this?
I have skybox, what am I looking for to test this out?

water10fall "i would like to see options like move the picture at any position so that it stays at that position even then when i move around in my room "
"if i want move around in my room then the picture or flat clips in passthrough follows the headset"
Like what the deo 6dof does?
It still moves but not as much with it off
Lol 6dof, 6 degrees of fucking
And someone commented about hereshpere, that it does that picture stays in place thing, said it has all kinds of options

just imagine that there not this 3d model anime on the floor ground but the deovr video player and a flat 2d transparent porn clip playing of an girl that mastrubates on the floor...as an example...
the object or the video player just floating in your room and stays fixed at scale, angle and position you set and you can then freely move around and walk towards it like the guy does it...
that what i mean with 6dof ^^
you can do this in openbrush with pictures and even clips but sadly it don't supports transparent clips.
Off topic but...
Found this from that Brad vr guy
Meta Quest v49 PTC datamine shows references to:
a “laying down mode”
an interactive panel touch mode
an ability to double tap controllers together to switch to hand tracking
Ffs, bout time a laying down mode, hopefully this helps with their browser and watching vr vids in YouTubevr.
The double tap, won't help me cuz Im usually just using one controller ...should just be a button to push or something.
Edit:
and sum meta rep commented to a Twitter user
"We have a new feature to fully support "bed mode" coming soon! The environment stays constant for comfort, but the UI panels transform."
dudu32 damn that looks cool
Hottie too!

i meant just with 2d
skybox when you play 2d video then it will play it in the fixed screen like when you have a TV in your room nothing more than that.
Maybe 6dof is not the right word.
because 6dof in vr (volumetric video ) allows you to move inside it or with depth map and that i think that what deovr try to do with the new feature they working on it.
but in 2d we have 2 options
1.6dof in our real room and that is what I meant.
2.6dof but inside the video and that is not possible , there is app called touchy is trying to do that with pic and video.
open brush is a better because it has passthrough but of course just for 2d videos and pics and unfortunately has no chroma background video like deovr.

would be awesome if they do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1FFVnhl40Y&ab_channel=ugocapeto3d
26:20
and just combine with this "1.6dof in our real room and that is what I meant." and put that all somehow in video player and for clips...
that way it would be technically 6dof too and then in passthrough with cutout background the flat 2d clips, pictures would get some 3d effect in our "real room" with such method ^^
but this just an idea for the flat 2d clips and pictures and passthrough...so they appear in some 3d volume and don't look flat...
for pictures it seems to works...
so there probably must be a way to do same with flat clips... ^^
