can anyone post or link the official fair use policy from SLR? can't seem to find it.
Thanks,
can anyone post or link the official fair use policy from SLR? can't seem to find it.
Thanks,
Every download page has it:
SLR Fair Use policy: 30 video downloads in 144 hours. Unlimited streaming with SLR app or DeoVR player.
(Was 30 video downloads in 72 hours a few weeks ago, before they reduced it again.)
someoneX there’s gotta be a more detailed policy. That leaves so many questions.
RockyMtHigh there's no more detailed policy
Well, then, there should be imo lol. A FAQ perhaps, as I’ve seen many questions regarding it.

RockyMtHigh We want to get a full user documentation in place yet we struggle to get documentation writer.
What a scam! I've been a subscriber for years and never was this disclosed.
unsigned64 It's on the sign-up page you would have needed to access in order to subscribe, about 3/4 of the way down the page.
justsomedude101 I doubt the current limits were shown when he signed up years ago.
someoneX Since the policy updates periodically, now he knows where to find it

Hi,
The download limitation shouldn't be shown ONLY on the sign up page and should be in the Tearms of services. The Terms of services and the F.AQ. doesn't indicate any form of limitation for download limits. The General page is showing "fair-use policy, limited to 30 videos per 3 days." https://www.sexlikereal.com/help/general
So, SLR is not providing the service I sign up for and SLR didn't sent any email advertising a change in the Terms of services or ''general page''.
Is SLR planning to keep the 144 hours or change it back to "fair-use policy, limited to 30 videos per 3 days."?
One difference that more users of this site might regard is that of the SLR "fair use" (which, again, means something different in law and should be changed) and that of POVR.com, their main competition.
Unlike SLR, POVR allows UNLIMITED downloads. HOWEVER, what they are actually offering is much less than SLR and 30 downloads per 144h period...
POVR does not support STUDIO files. Every video that you can "download" from them has passed through their algorithm, which destroys the quality of the film -- in most cases, the films are lower quality than what you'd stream here.
Also, SLR provides a method for users to download multiple files without standing near the computer, unlike POVR. If you add POVR "files" to a download manager it will freeze after a certain amount of time -- often users can't even download big films (20 GB or thereabouts).
So, there's the praise, and here's the SLR criticism.
144h is just plain stupid. That's the reason that lots of their content is now circulating all over darkweb shares and torrents. Hackers from places like Turkey break user passcodes and periodically download just a couple of files to share on their sites. Users here don't figure out what's going on because there's no reasonable measure to know how many files are left in the queue. Folks forget the number -- most folks who subscribe and don't go anywhere near that high limit....

povr downloads have lower quality than slr streaming?
not sure what the heck you smokin but povr uses much higher bitrates than slr for both streaming and downloads sooo your claim aint true.
I think he means that SLR usually includes the huge original uncompressed file from the studio for us to download and is suggesting POVR don’t. Not sure if that is correct or not.
If you stream in a normal browser via Delight XR (POVR) or Deo WebVR (SLR) at a max of 1920p, then the 1920p file sizes at POVR might indeed be larger. But why would you stream SLR videos at 1920p if you can have them at 8K in DeoVR?
As far as I am aware, POVR does not work in DeoVR, so I am not sure if you can stream POVR videos above 1920p. POVR say that they do not endorse third-party apps.
One example to compare file sizes:
FuckPassVR, Summer Breeze in OC:
POVR: 8K h.265 14 GB
SLR: 8K h.265 9 GB, Original 8K h.265 27 GB
SchnuppiLilac POVR does work in DeoVR for higher quality streaming and on Heresphere. Thanks for the example of what I mean with the download files though. SLR offers higher quality downloads albeit with some huge file sizes.
petermc How do you make POVR work in DeoVR? The DeoVR app for Quest 2 says the website is not compatible. You can still access it but the videos stream only in 1920p flat. Am I missing something?
Their films were unwatchable for more than a month as they adjusted their algorithm. Every third frame there would be a glitch of several milliseconds. The films looked choppy and unwatchable.
Don't trust me, just compare the size of the files... SLR shares the original studio files submitted by member studios. POVR takes what they receive and compresses and breaks the films in many cases. Films on SLR are twice the size of films on POVR. Only the films from Wanks look fine on POVR, because POVR is linked to Wanks through partnership.
Oh wait, I forgot you can't check the file sizes because only members who've signed up for their service can see the sizes over at POVR... Trust me, some of the films they have are half the size of what you find here. Literally, half the size. Maybe that compression doesn't matter to you, but some users prefer watching films that don't look degraded from compression. I mean, I think that's why many of us pay for porn rather than using, say, pornhub, or the nasty tube services...
