soundjoe I agree totally. should be designed to be used hands free in at least in doggy and missionary. Scripts that just mimic female motion would add to the realism. Let the user add their own male motion.

It’d be great if the toy could automatically switch between interactive and manual mode based on whether a script is available.
This would allow for a much smoother browsing experience, allowing us to seamlessly watch any video we want with maximum enjoyment and minimum disruption. If a script exists, sync the toy with the script. If we switch to a video without a script, start manual stroking automatically.
this was a conversation in another thread, but per the hands free mount-ability discussion for the SLR toy R&D, i just recently picked up the kiiroo keon table clamp (https://www.kiiroo.com/products/keon-table-clamp) after recommendation from @RealcumberScripts @thatthotok .
it is EXTREMELY well constructed, specifically in the materials, super strong stainless steel body with metal ball joints. even the plastic used on the fastening portion is very sturdy and as robust as it needs to be. everything latches perfectly and securely. the freedom to have such a compact and versatile clamp like this for personalized custom hands-free mountability is about the best you can get imo (i have spent better part of a year experimenting with various approaches).
i recommend that a staff member with or without a keon who is directly connected to the SLR team for this sex toy pick up one of these clamps to really appreciate the build quality, joint design, and latching mechanism of this clamp, because the kiiroo stock photos are incredibly bland and the product is WAY better than advertised lmao.
also here is a retailer where i got mine, listed below kiiroo's price and they have sales/discounts on their site: http://mrbinkyssuperstore.com/keon-table-clamps-p70699.html
What if we show device mask in Passthrough with controls inside VR.
Potentially we can know position of the device. Or use some passive tracking on top of it
doefi3 I fill the bathroom sink with hot water and leave the sleeve in there to warm up for 10 minutes before use. Pat Dry off outside and then go to work. That method though would not be nearly as good as something that could somehow remain warm throughout the stroke session.
"likely working with Fleshlights and other popular sleeves"
I'm already not interested. Any device that works like Fleshlight Launch has two issues. Lots of mess and if you get softer just for a moment, you slip out of the sleeve and not only you have to set up everything from the beginning, but also it's dangerous for very important part of the body.
Look on how Vorze Piston A10 SA works like. The endtrance of the sleeve does not move, so you can't slip out of it and moving rest of the sleeve still manages to give immersive up and down movements.
The best hand free setup would be the dildo harness that someone came up with on the handy sub reddit. It shouldn't be hard to improve on that idea.
Fyi, I've tried out all the hand free set up.
*The sleeve should be a jelly like composition at around the 5 inch size. In the center of the sleeve the inner circumference texture should have waves of nubs with each nub having a series of mini nubs on it if possible. At the top it should have repating arrow tip shaped textures around the inner circumference. At the bottom towards the opening it will need three ribbed textures thin enough and flexible enough that it can contort/bend up and down with the motion of the stroker. The opening circumference will need a small flanged lip that can slide with the motions.
well... my 5 cents is. get in contact with tenga for the sleeve or sleeve compatibility. they are making the most mold resistant sleeves and that at a humane price. the claim of most resistant comes from asking people and my own xp.
hennessyhabit That’s a great one. Making decision on the sleeve now. I’m pushing for one time lubed disposable ones
doublevr they also added silver wich is antibact to some sleeves, wich tbh is a nice idea.
doublevr Currently the handy is the best commercial interactive toy on the market (imo). Assuming that the SLR toy will be in the same price range it will have to be better than this and have a unique selling point that is enticing. I'd like to give my 5 cents about what makes the handy a good device and what this unique selling point could be:
Some of the strengths of the handy:
Some negatives of the handy:
A unique selling point
So, if the above is at least on par with the handy what could be added to make this a device that is actually better and worth upgrading to? Some things that would make me consider upgrading:
Hope that gives you guys some feedback and I'm curious to see what you will come up with!
I think a scriptable tightness on the fly would be a great addition.
A heated strap that heats up the sleeve
Will it be a worldwide release? Asking from EU.
Thanks for the great work this year!
fenderwq - My similar thoughts precisely, well laid out from a user pov @fenderwq
@rerun119 - yes, I'm trying my best to push scriptable tightness and heat would be nice for sure, just depends on the ultimate design and what we have room and priority for first
@MorasYobb - thanks and worldwide release is definitely the goal!
Hey SLR community, thank you for your input! The Haptics team reads every comment and we really appreciate your advice so we can make the best stroker for you. Here’s a sneak preview of our most recent sketches - with heavy inspiration from Tempest MAx’s SSR1. We'll share more soon!
haptics this needs some kind of bracket to open up options for securely mounting it to different surfaces. then you can sell different kinds of mounts.. for example
without some easy mounting options this is going to be another copycat product that doesnt solve any problems that people are having or will have
Also concur about a hands free option as the whole point is immersion. I'm glad to see these designs though as I personally like the "enclosed" designs opposed to the Handy's "Open" design. I've said this elsewhere but having it enclosed and possibly on multiple rails evenly disperses the "rebound" forces, and lightweight isn't always the best idea either. I know theoretically we all want small lighter devices, but in a practical use the combo of lightweight and a single rail on the handy IMO is the biggest detractor from immersion. One rail basically deflects off your body if you're not centered and ends up moving around way too much and the user is just fighting the forces. Then the light body doesn't help either as there's little resistance so its entirely up to the user to fight the forces by holding onto it super hard, or pressing it on yourself harder than needed. Kinda like shooting pistols. All else equal, a heaver pistol transmits less recoil than a light one since the mass alone acts as resisting force.
Also please brushless motors, and metal or glass reinforced polymer gearing (probably smoother but still strong gearing - especially if graphite coated or similar). That was a major failure on the keon where the actual drive mechanisms would eventually wear down and strip leaving you a useless product.
Finally, it looks like they should be fleshlight sleeve compatible? If so, I think that's the way to go if not a similar material and smaller form factor to ease the force on the motors and gearing. Otherwise, I've yet to find a handy sleeve or 3rd party sleeves that feel as realistic as the fleshlights.
