valerianVR Hi , Yes I have had it nearly two weeks , I didn't think the visuals were
a massive improvement until I tried using my Quest 2 again immediately noticed the difference I
am now am selling my Quest. For what the Pico costs I am totally happy with no regrets.

So any reviews how the color passthrough looks with the pico 4?

How to activate the passthrough on SLR Desktop app when conneted to pico via Virtual desktop? I can only tweak saturation etc but i dont have the passthrough button

deni12 It is not possible. You'll have to wait for DeoVr to be released on Pico.

    Finally fired up the pico.
Update to latest software and transfer your 3d movies to the Movies folder. The native player works fine and has many of the features of DeoVR. BUT, for some reason it doesn't auto detect the type of video and defaults to 2d. Open the menu and choose SBS, 180, Fish eye, etc and it works fine.

I'm having issues connecting to my router, however. It says Connected/No Internet. 5G. I wonder what settings I need to change. It's an TpLink Archer C3200. When using the phone company's router it works fine, but I have to go all the way to electrical panel where the phone company set it up to use that router. Everything else runs fine on the archer.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    5 days later

soon the deovr app should be published, right?

I do realise I am impatient here (I might have refreshed this page a couuuple times over the last hours), but should I be able to see the app already in the store?

My bad. It's in review process. Normally takes some few days

To me it sounds like its worth it.

Less tunnel effect/wider field of view. Much bigger sweet spot where the picture remains in focus. Color pass-through. Depth/vibrance of colors and black levels I am unsure of though.

doublevr It got released in the meanwhile on Side Quest. Everything works very well and the passthrough mode for videos is really impressive. I did not think it would work that well. Looking forward to see more improvements for that feature.

I did notice though, that 8k videos are really laggy on the Pico 4 and therefore unwatchable. Maximum quality I can set videos is 2880p. Everything above is way too laggy. I don't know if there is a fix for it, or if it's because that's the maximum a standalone device is capable off.

Anyway, really happy to have SLR available on the Pico 4 now.
