I think it's pretty easy to see that this kind of videos are shot for the Japanese market, which is where they want to test, because it moves a lot of money.
If this venture works and SLR makes money in Japan, that money will be used to make more and better uncensored videos here. So if these videos succeed in Japan, it will also benefit all you.
On the other hand I am subscribed to SLR and a couple of other western VR services and.... 90% of the VRs I watch is JAV. Its immersion, naturalness, and natural bodies with girls who dress and behave like normal girls, for me outweighs the disappointment of censorship, something my brain has accepted and can ignore without any problem.
I understand that others can't ignore it just like I can't watch anything with fake tits or piercings (another reason why I watch more JAV), and it's respectable, but understand that the world doesn't only revolve around western uncensored VR porn.
My full support to the JAV Originals. It will be the only reason I will re-subscribe when the subscription runs out, now that I have totally lost interest in the western SLR Originals of the last months.

Sure, maybe. But if it doesn't work they'll lose money over there and they'll probably have less funds to make more and better actual porn here. Even the whole company might be in danger and I don't think anybody would benefit from that. It really works both ways.
Punksxc Jav, euro and czech pornstars are the best performers.
That's so ignorant and generalizing that it hurts. There are good performers anywhere, your nationality doesn't define whether you're a good performer or not. If anything, there might be certain production trends and certain customer trends in various countries that influence the way porn scenes are shot but that has nothing to do with the abilities of certain talents. I think I might know what you wanted to say but that statement of yours above is just bull (and by the way, Czech perfomers ARE euro performers...).

Punksxc Since I have zero insight into their business prospects acutally neither in Japan nor anywhere else I'm not positive, but absolutely neutral about this, Just stating the facts here. But I do hope that they made a good business plan and that everything works as planned and that at least the existing operation won't get in jeopardy by such a business (ad)venture.
For those complaining about 'censorship' in JAV, do note that even today due to various reasons that go well beyond this thread, JAV studios may interpret the country's obscenity law as 'cover privates with pixels', but have WAY more creative freedom in their movies than the west. There are many types of JAV movies shot even now that would get the axe by most any western processor. I may not speak for everyone, but if I had to choose no mosaic and heavy plot limitations or mosaic censorship and near freedom to shoot what one wants because we're all consenting adults, I'll pick the latter.

I’ve been trying to say much the same thing. JAV directors and creators have raised the bar creatively and performers too, I think precisely because they have to blur out the dirty bits. As a result there are JAV scenes I’ve watched that are magnitudes of order hotter than anything I’ve ever seen produced on this side.

Nope, that's simply a false statement. Please don't confuse "the West" with "the United States", it's not the same.
There isn't anything in porn that couldn't - and isn't - shot in Europe as well - without ANY censorship.
Great vid. This level of intimacy should be standard in US stuff. I hate the clinical far away angles in non-Jav videos. Who has sex at a perfect 90 degree angle out of arms reach? If I want to feel far away I'll watch regular 2D videos on a computer screen.

this scene was such a good start, i recently found a jav scene that was alot like this one, done very much the same but its older so quality sucks but it showed me how well SLR did this scene

doublevr for my money, Soft on Demand (3DSVR-XXXX) wins every time for multigirl scenes.
Also Volvo Nakano’s scenes on Hunter (HNVR-XXX) are always very intense.
I could easily come up with 50 more examples, but above are favorites of mine released within the last couple years. WanzVR (WAVR-XXX) does high quality work too.

argyle43 I remember my first exposure to JAV. Eight years ago I stumbled onto SOE-141 an incredible reverse gangbang film featuring Tina Yukuzi (Rio)
And wow, man! I'm a big fan Rio / Tina Yuzuki (and Yuma Asami and Akiho Yoshizawa); I wish we could go back in time, and bring a VR camera, plus all the current knowledge of this incredible technology we all love, so we can watch them together in VR...

Asides from the epic seated-cowgirl and beautiful intimacy, here are my additional thoughts on the first SLR JAV Originals' scene.
The way I see it, what SLR did for Melody was a really good thing. Because think about it, Melody genuinely loves Japan, anime, etc. Which to me, that was like an epic high five to her (and to her longtime fans in Japan; a scenario with Japanese actors + a Japanese convenience store).
I think she really had fun shooting the first episode of SLR JAV Originals.
Pornstars are human beings, too; and look at these memories she made when she went to Japan. 
And most performers out there, (if not all), refuses to continue working with studios that doesn't treat them very well. And I honestly don't understand why this is a bad thing; this is basically making their connections with Melody even stronger. (Thank you very much! And EXCELLENT JOB, SLR!)

You’re so on point with this observation. There’s something sweet about a lot of JAV… no matter how jaw-droppingly sexual the action often gets… the happy soundtracks that could be off any mainstream sitcom, the humor in the stories, the general Japanese culture woven into so much JAV production provides a certain sense of innocent well being. Makes the scenes all the hotter to me. The fact that Melody somehow identifies with that, it’s no wonder she’s as popular as she is in Japan, and I love her all the more for it too 
Lexi Belle is very much the same and filmed a good deal of JAV 2D in the mid 2010’s. Like my main JAV crush Rio, it’s such a shame her career pre-dates VR — can you even imagine?
Oh well, I dream of the day when this amazing technology allows us to AI-convert our fave low-res 2D scenes to vibrant crystal clear VR and bring new life to old classics. Yet another reason why my vast 20+ year porn collection is precious to me. One never knows what will be possible when tech like DALL-E and Stable Diffusion, and ultra realistic AI text to voice gets better and better at an accelerating pace.
