Does anyone have a better way of doing this? It’s extremely clunky and hard to manage, it’s almost like the site is terrible unless you have an oculus, has anyone figured a way around it?
Watching SLR on google cardboard (cheap vr headsets$
Moneylaz It’s extremely clunky and hard to manage,
Whatever version of the SLR app or DeoVR that you're using would be an old, unsupported one that hasn't been updated in a very long time, since neither iOS nor Android has been supported for a good while now. Hence the difficulties. Plus I'm sure cardboard/etc. doesn't make it any better.
I'm assuming you already knew this was coming, but I'll say it anyway - the best thing you could do would be to consider upgrading to a newer, supported device if and when you're in a position to.

Both work fine on Gear VR. It's surprisingly good on the newer Samsung phones, which is probably why Meta forced Samsung to remove the VR software from One UI 4.
I'd not recommend cardboard. If you have a Samsung phone it might be fine, because Samsung phones have a PPI of 520s vs 730s for Quest 2. ... VR looks terrible on other phones.
[deleted] what's a good headset to upgrade to? I currently am using the cardboard, but I do want to upgrade. I'm looking to upgrade to something that would be good for both gaming and porn. I've been recommended the Vive Pro by a buddy in the gaming world, but someone on here actually told me to wait until the Meta Quest 2 comes out. Are these good options, or is there a different option that would be a better choice?

If you have unlimited funds, and want to do tethered gaming, the best would be Vario Aero. (IMHO; many folks on here would disagree, or haven't used the HMD since it's $3,000).
If you are on a mid-range budget the best headset is Oculus Quest 2, even though Meta increased the price by $100 USD last month.
Personally, I use the much-outdated and not recommended Gear VR. I use it because (1) it's VERY inexpensive. (2) you can pop in a 1 TB microSD and not have to worry about the dangers of home networking (my pesky GF wants to spy on my porn!). (3) it's one of the lightest headsets you can get. (4) the controller is best suited for media viewing. (5) the battery lasts longer than all of the Quest line-up.
If I were to upgrade now -- and I'd recommend waiting for a bit to see the next gen stuff -- I'd pre-order a Pico 4. But I'd not use the headset for anything but viewing films and VR180 porn. Pico 4 is manufactured by ByteDance (the makers of TikTok, so say goodbye to privacy), yet the specs are comparable to Meta / FB's Quest Pro (release date in a few weeks). Quest 2 = $500 . Pico 4 = $500 . Quest Pro = $1,500. The specs of Pico 4 are roughly the same as Quest Pro, but the gaming library is practically non-existent ... (I don't game in VR)
Edit: Price of Quest Pro increased from $1,000 to $1,500 due to inflation...
[deleted] thanks man, it's looking more and more like I'm gonna go with the Quest Pro.

That’s probably a good choice, but here’s stuff to consider.
- The battery is at the back of the device, behind your head, so the headset will be great for gaming but not-so-great for watching films while lying on a bed
- The battery life may not be that good. The device includes a secondary chip to take input from the five cameras for eye and face tracking: one for each eye, one for the forehead, and two for the mouth.
- You’ll have to pay extra (probably) for the darkness shield that covers around the eyes: it’s an AR device for business so it’s designed so the user can see in periphery the surroundings of an office
- To get full usage of the added resolution you will require either a lot of patience for copying files or a Wifi 6 router: there’s not a lot of on-board storage and SLR films these days are above 100 GB
- The controllers track the movement of your fingers through built-in cameras (let’s hope those cameras don’t make a doppel-dick-er mistake!)
- Although Quest Pro will be announced at Meta Connect there’s a good chance, due to supply chain issues, that the headset won’t be available until mid-March (and then probably only in limited numbers, because business clients probably get the earliest pre-orders)
- The product will be very new, if you are able to get one immediately, so expect hardware and software problems that may need to be hammered out.
[deleted] You failed to mention that Pico 4 won't be for sale in the US any time soon, if ever. And no one knows the price of the Quest Pro, except you, apparently. Many speculate $1500 at a minimum.

CaptainAmerica4 If cable doesn't bother you and you want something rather fast go with the Reverb G2. It's amazing for porn and games are quite good as well. You can get one for 350 bucks in a sale. Don't waste your money for Meta crap.

The Internet is global. What's available for purchase in China and the EU is available in the US. albeit with a premium cost for postage.
You are correct with Quest Pro. That price of $1,000 was circulating in meta and then leaked at a point earlier this year.
Due to inflation and a recall regarding a problematic depth sensor, the price was increased to $1,500 USD (without all the extras, such as the face shield for VR porn and gaming).
If you want something for media today, Pico 4 is your best option. If you want gaming and films pay a little extra entirely for software and worse hardware with Oculus Quest 2.
If you think you can survive the upcoming nuclear Armageddon, and think FB / Meta will remain in business, wait a year for the Quest 3. The youtubber SadlyItsBradley -- the Zuck's bastard brother -- leaked CAD images and specs for Quest 3
