how do i watch the latest originals? there is no way to change the lens like with downloaded files

wwoods38 If you're using a phone-based headset, I would suggest you consider upgrading if and when you're able to. The SLR app hasn't been supported on iOS or Android for quite a while now, so you won't be getting anything close to the full experience that VR can truly offer.

Depends what you define best. Even after the price increase it is still great value. From pure quality there are better solutions out there but usually a lot more expensive.

The guys on here are quick to dismiss the phone headsets, but really some are better than others...

If you can hack a Gear VR your experience won't be bad.

Unlike iPhones, Samsung phones have a comparable resolution (Galaxy s20 pixel density = 563 pixel density vs about 700 pixel density for Quest 2)
Gear VR allows for much more storage via microSD. Pop in a 1 terabyte SD and store much more than Quest 2, without the problem of streaming on setting up a home server
Gear VR is much lighter than Quest 2.
Gear VR has a better controller for multmedia stuff (volume rocker, zoom, fast forward and rewind, all easily accessible)
Gear VR protects your files from prying eyes (like a GF who may want to use a new headset you'd buy).
Gear VR has better battery life with an s20 than a Quest 2
Gear VR is dirt cheap at $20.00

Disadvantages
You need to know how to flash an old ROM of One UI 3.1
You will lose your files if your phone is stolen
Only 60 hz at the highest res
