As a first-time buyer, I found that these smaller torsos are great for VR, but I'm still on the fence about whether it's worth investing in higher-priced dolls in the $300 and up range. My Tantaly doll had some minor skin peeling when it arrived. I thought washing it down and powdering it would fix the issue, but it just kept accumulating more peeling. They recommended using baby oil 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Here's my main point: I bought a $99 torso from Amazon, and for the price, it's totally worth it. It works even better with VR. There was very little skin peeling, and after a month, it’s still in great condition. Washing it down and powdering it has kept it feeling great.
On the other hand, the Tantaly doll I bought from Amazon, directly from Tantaly, had minor skin peeling from the start. Tantaly is supposed to be a top company with high-quality TPE, but even after washing and powdering, the peeling hasn't gone away...they told me use baby oil.
So, why spend $300 or more on a "top quality" TPE doll if it's going to have the same issues as a cheaper torso from Amazon? I can't justify buying a Tantaly or any other high-end doll when a cheaper torso has the same issues.
If I had gone with my initial plan to buy a Britney doll for $400 and experienced the same problems, I would have been furious. All them hottie reviews claiming top-notch quality would have felt misleading.
The tantaly doll feels better tpe quality but the skin peel, and from what i understand this is common with any tpe no matter who you buy from, skin peel🤦♂️
In conclusion, if you're a first-time buyer trying to decide on a purchase and price is a concern, you'll be fine ordering a lower-priced torso from Amazon. If it’s going to peel or get stained by clothing anyway, why spend $300 or more? But ultimately, it’s up to you. I'm just sharing my first experience buying torsos.
And then they have two doll molds on Amazon that look like two of tantaly dolls, way lower price.
Notice I didn't say cheaper, cheaper means low quality, and this 99$ torso I bought does not feel cheap, plus if it gets damaged or has skin peel I only spent 99$ instead of 300 or more. 👍
