I'd bet by 2024 there will be a better version of the Quest, if you can wait that long...

It should be lighter and have a slight improvement in resolution (folded optics).

It will have a better processor.

The price point will be a little higher, but not as high as Project Cambria. Tip: Things are going to get much worse very soon in America, so buy what you need now.

spanker like eye-tracking? will help with the resolution of where your eyes are actually looking 🙂 i think i heard that correctly.

Eyetracking would change exactly nothing for videos, and it is kinda meant to do the opposite for games and safe performance/power by only rendering the part you are looking at full resolution and reduce the resolution for everything else.

spanker that excites me...there are some areas in the clips where the resolution is SHIT and it coulda been soo great to SEE IT better. hopefully, i am reading/hearing this correctly??

Well no, eyetracking can not improve resolution, it only can reduce it, well actually the current Quest can do that already, but with eytracking it knows where to do it so you most likely do not notice it.

Word is meta suppose to reveal the quest pro next month.

Also, I just use my original headstrap a strap just like my gear vr, I can't imagine how it will feel laying down with that bulky battery on the back of the head, idk ...smh 🤷‍♂️

Looks pretty awful honestly, and I can not see how they can justify the rumored extreme price increase for this.

Lenses look pretty small, I can not see how this would be a sizable FOV increase, I have read somewhere resolution should be roughly 2k² per eye, which also would be hardly an increase over the Quest 2, and how the hell would you prevent light leak with this?
I guess as it uses still cameras for tracking it still is not usable in the darkness.

As someone that used the "pro" strap on the Quest 2 (until it broke), although the non battery version, I can tell you this is not a problem at all.
Actually the standard strap of the Quest 2 I still hate it, even lying in bed it can not really secure the headset without making it super tight and uncomfortable, and it is basically unusable for gaming.

The controllers look much better than the ones for Quest 2.

The headband looks like an improvement for desktop gaming. But I bet it'll be uncomfortable to lean on that battery while watching films in bed.

They appear to be using Holocake 2 lenses, which they've previously referred to as too expensive for the common consumer (probably why they increased the price of Quest 2).

There's no light blocking gasket, so don't ditch the one with your Quest 2 or other device, unless you want to buy one separately.

It has eye tracking.

It's called Meta Quest Pro, rather than Quest 2 Pro.

There's a charging unit, which may mean there's no direct USB-C for the controllers.

I heard about the price too! 😲 no way I'd spend that much.

But I heard this not a quest 3, it's more of a aim at professional day to day usage, and a quest 3 would come out later. But no word of when.

But yeah that price? Nah

All I can say is I have it and it works perfectly for budget-aware users. (I'd not recommend Cardboard VR.)

For users unable to flash a ROM, Quest 2 would be the best option.

Yeah, i heard they working on a quest 3.

This new "pro" is aim at more professional day to day activities 🤷‍♂️...that's what I heard.
