It doesn't seem possible to get the right focus on Canon so we are moving back to ZCam K2 Pro. Also the scale is troubling

Weird i didn't notice the issues, and quality was great IMO. Hopefully that can be fixed
Well as someone not ready to throw out my Go I’ll be very happy to be able to stream scenes again in DEO app. Scale has also been just slightly too large on the last several scenes, so I’ll be very pleased to get the perfection that we saw in the scenes prior to this rig. Celebrating here.
doublevr I think that’s a smart decision. As much as you don’t want to go backwards, you need to perfect the new equipment before filming new scenes with it.
I personally didn’t have as big an issue with it as some, a few scenes aside, but when so many others are, that says there’s something wrong.
Hopefully producers can keep testing this stuff behind the scenes to figure out how to get the best results but I do remember Wankzvr, months ago, saying people would have scaling issues with this new camera unless their eyes are super close together.
doublevr
I can't say that I'm stoked about that. Feels like a step in the wrong direction.
Why is focus not a problem for VRHush and LethalHardcoreVR, both are using Canon camera?
While I’m sure it wasn’t an easy decision, I think this is the right choice.
The fixed IPD of 60MM on the Canon VR lens just results in scale that is too large. While objects at medium to far distances look OK, anything within a couple of feet (prime distance for VR porn) look way too big.
Maybe Canon didn’t realize that creators would use their lens for VR Porn. Although I find that hard to believe. Most dudes use their VR headsets for Porn! Hopefully they’ll come out with a Mark II lens. Then you can revisit the R5C.
I think going back to the old rig is the best choice at this time.

Competence issue?
Maybe we should go back to 4k...
I've given my thoughts on the SLR reddit thread, but I'll drop a line here too.
For me, the bump in visual picture quality is awesome in my Pimax 8KX. The new 8K videos are noticeably sharper and colors are better too. I really was excited when these new 8K canon videos started to rollout.
I will say the scale did increase some, but I believe a lot of people are having issues with the 190 fisheye and not necessarily the rig itself. So not all visual issues that people are complaining about are about the scale. Some of them are about the fisheye format and it not working properly for them. Of course people will be frustrated and complain if they can’t view the content correctly. That in itself is not a Canon issue.
Also, VRHush, LethalHardcore, and NaughtyAmerica are all shooting with the same canon (as far as I can tell), and I don't see many complaints for these videos, which also makes me believe that fisheye is at play when it comes to SLR.
Anyways, I say this only to encourage SLR to keep trying to perfect the new Canon rig. Yes, fine, revert to ZCAM for the immediate future, but simultaneously try to work behind the scenes with the Canon. Maybe do a few test shots and offer them up on the forum to see if any progress has made. Maybe try to conform them and not release them raw in fisheye mode to see if that makes any difference?
Just a few thoughts.
What exactly canon cam is this cuz most youtube videos doing reviews or uploading vr videos Its says 180° 8k dual fisheye lens but we uploading 200° for the new scenes?
And sum of these youtube videos look extra crisp.
g2kbuffetboy you are right
This is a great decision. The recent SLR Originals which could have been epic were ruined by the scaling and focus, which was a big reason that was preventing me from pulling the trigger on a lifetime subscription. Listening to customer feedback and making hard but good decisions like this convinces me that it is OK to go ahead and invest in a lifetime subscription.
g2kbuffetboy I also have a Pimax 8KX and to me all the videos are blurry around the edges. Its not even the the edges but it gets blurrier the farther you look from the middle of what the camera taped. Since you can just look around more in the pimax i start to get motion sick. To me the last camera was the best Image quality I have ever seen plus the scenes they shot with it. I would say the last 6 months before they switched the camera that that was the best run of video making any VR company as had. That's why to me it pained me so much to just stop and then just start all over with new company's and lenses. Please go back to perfection.
I'm sad to hear this. I don't think the camera is the issue. other studios use the same camera but dont have the weird stretched feeling. If i would guess it's the 190 FOV or some other processing. BTW I have 60 IPD and it looks too big especially for me vertically too. So the problem is not the IPD of the camera.
