doublevr Unfortunately my connection just won't support it, it barely scrapes 50Mb/s and that is why I download. This would mean that I'm unable to use the service at anything above 4K, but I do want to be clear here the fix exists - if the 3840p version is made available along with the 4000p, 10 series card users can enjoy the service just like everyone else and I imagine there are still plenty of 10 series card users. A new graphics card is just not on the cards as my country (UK) is about to go through one of the biggest financial crisis that UK residents have seen in their lifetime and many may have to choose between eating food and heating their homes this winter.
I would like to gently ask for this to be considered as this is not a solution that will require constant maintenance, the 3840p download being available will resolve all issues for 10 series cards and more work to maintain compatibility will not be required in future. To be clear, this isn't an attempt to cause yet another drama, I'm just trying to continue to use the service and 100% know both the cause of and solution to this issue. I enjoy using SLR very much, but a max resolution of 4K would be challenging for me to justify after being used to top video quality from SLR for so long. Please think about it.
