  • Index passthrough + SLR for a semi-surreal pornstar experience

I am a great fan of role plays to create intimate realism while enjoying porn and I really love how VR porn had brought to life such vast possibilities for me in this realm😃I would often enact the scene that I am viewing and try to get into character where possible , chatting the pornstars up verbally , assuming the various body position mimicking the scene and everything else that is possible just to gain some form of realism.

One thing that I would love to share and recommends all you fine fellow VR porn connoisseur today to try is on the use of a stereo camera passthrough enabled HMD device coupled with SLR app. I would say that this is currently the best setup for me to feel realism with VR Porn. Reason being, with the camera passthrough, you are able to visually see your own real surrounding , your room, your own body , your bed and etc. Now ..the winning combination here is that with SLR app, you can play any porn videos with black background and with the right adjustment on the HMD side, the pornstars will appears as a realistic 3D hologram. Bam.. the true feeling of seeing your favorite porn actresses in true life scale right in your very own room is finally achievable.

So far I know of 2 HMD that is capable to achieve this effect. The Quest2 and Valve Index.
The passthrough that I'm constantly using is via Steam Index due to its colored passthrough as opposed to Quest2 that unfortunately only having black and white passthrough.

    I have a Quest2 but fail to get the passthrough to work while trying various instructions.So I gave up and just wait for the SLR team for further development.Now,thanks to you for showing your POV passthrough video I am able to see how it actually looks like and It's just awesome.I'll have another go and try again following your instruction.Thanks for sharing.

    The pass through is amazing when setup well and video settings adjusted, it’s very fiddly. Can’t wait for the SLR feature.

    The Quest 2 border line is annoying, I somehow had it not appear with the way I had couch and my position setup, but goes back to being visible if you change rooms.

      True that. The Quest2 current passthrough guardian exploit is too finicky at the moment 🙁 SLR folks will make the Quest2 passthrough switchable in app soon from what I heard 😀 That would be a game changer for sure.

        I get rid it by setting that room scale...

        So say I'm laying on my bed for a laying position.
        So what i do is I'll click on the menu button, go to the settings for the roomscale, lean over to the floor a set the floor level there, then get back to ur laying position, sit up and set the stationary then lean back to laying position, This makes the blue circle below you out of sight. 👍

                Only thing noticeable is the door way, but it works well in plain white rooms, the bed there looked like it placed in my bed room as I'm laying on my bed.

                Anyway thought I'd throw that out there, I don't think the rooms always need to be dark for it to work.

                Also notice nothing in the room just a bed.

                Now I could imagine a tv maybe hung on the wall in front of the bed playing sum 2porn and the TV, it would look like it hanging on my wall 👍🥂

                Yeah I agree some of the Noir video makes the pornstar looks huge. And really looks like Amazonian woman. Some people do have fetish for it though 😛 Death by snu snu and all!
                Definitely Noir studio will need to take into account the settings and try to improve on it for future releases of theirs.
