When I "adb install -t test10_tilt_scale_cross.apk" it crashes the adb daemon and "adb: failed to install test10_tilt_scale_cross.apk" with or without "-t" .
I can install F-Droid, for example, just fine.
[Updated videos] SLR Depthmaps in the making
PC VR version of this?
Managed to install from a Chromebook rather than from RPi. Can't find anything relevant in either adb log or logcat. adb versions: 1.0.39 on pi and 1.0.41 on chromeb.
Very interesting approach. Heresphere seems to do it differently somehow.
IPD on my headset is set to 63mm. When I switch to mono at extreme close-ups like in Laundry it looks better.
If you are going with precalculating the depthmap, consider the LifecastVR approach. with two focus planes. Hugh Hou made one video with a close-up, it looked bad, maybe switch to 3dof there too. But the rest - vertical parallax, looking to the sides, inlining, head tilting, it is kinda solved.
I always say, tech is moved forward by the sex industry, financial gambling and edutaiment for kids. Eager to see your progress.

Lonkilan We have fixed that - now you can install among wtih mainbranch version. Also http://insights.sexlikereal.com/app/test12_tilt_scale_cross.apk we've adjusted the reficus speed for to reduce eye strain.
Finally had some time to test it, so some feedback.
Looking to the sides is works perfect, even in the edges no real problems (well besides the boarder of the image, but I guess that is hard to remove )
Tilting is also much better, I would say it takes up to 45° of tilt before the image breaks down, while it does it almost immediately without correction.
I am not so convinced about the anti crosseye/close range correction. It makes the models head look like it is at least twice your heads size.
And whatever the Autofocus setting does, it makes the image go wild, pretty much unwatchable with it enabled.

Tilting is not bad.
but, i don't know why, i also felt that the head size of the model looked bigger.
GigaChad-12 It's one of the shortcomings on the method
how are things progressing with this?
Hi everyone!
We've finished a test build for depth estimation on a fly and corresponding image corrections. The main difference is that now the app does not require precomputed depthmap and generates the necessary information on a headset.
But before proceeding, we need feedback to improve it. Here is the test build for http://insights.sexlikereal.com/videos/test28_slr_depthmap.apk
How to use it?
- Run video from SLR or downloaded one
- In the options tab turn on autofocus and stereo mode and adjust the autofocus sliders
- IPD correction slider shows how strongly your eyes should be crossed in the default state. Can help if in some videos there is a problem with perceived depth
- Crosseye correction slider - shows the rate your eyes are crossed if the object goes close to you (the smaller value leads to a bigger correction). This slider affects the value of calculated depth.
- Headtilt correction - shows how strong the images should go up and down if you tilt your head. Default value 5 works OK for most cases.
- Autofocus activation. Autofocus is turned off on far distances. This slider shows at which eyecrossing angles it should be turned on. The high value turns it off at any distance. I recommend adjusting that slider on a closeup scene that is not watchable without autofocus and keep it as high as comfortable to prevent some "bloating heads" effect when autofocus is not necessary
- Sideview correction slider - makes the correction of wrong sizes on the side regions. Should be corrected last on a frame with a close object on the side. Value 0 means no correction and sometimes it is worth leaving it 0. Otherwise, look at the close object on the side and change the slider value till the sizes of the object for the left eye and right eye became the same.
Looking for feedback for further improvements and faster release!
Just checked it. Good job on autofocus! However of course its not perfect yet. Most of the time requires some time for the image to autofocus. Keep us updated!
