I can confirm, the Handy WiFi is pretty crappy. It completely loses connection in distances to the router other devices can still connect, and is unreliable in distances other devices work perfectly fine.
The only real solution, get closer to your router, or alternatively place another access point (preferably connected by wire) closer where you wanna use it.
