Hi,
I just got a 120Hz phone, and while the SLR app runs at 120Hz, videos only show up as 60Hz. Is there a way to get 120Hz video playback on Android?

hundercover I don't have a specific answer for this, but I would encourage you to consider upgrading to a dedicated VR headset: https://www.sexlikereal.com/blog/216-whats-the-best-headset-for-vr-porn

The VR experience you'll get from using cardboard is extremely poor compared to what you'll get from an actual VR headset, and at this point I believe support for the Android SLR app is either extremely limited or has been stopped all together, as most phone-based headset creators no longer support their devices (Google w/ the cardboard and Daydream, Facebook/Meta with the GearVR, etc.).

The question is, can the device decode high resolution 120Hz videos?
And can you have 120Hz in full resolution? Many devices only support reduced resolutions in 120Hz mode, which usually not a problem for regular usage, because most screen resolutions are so high you do not see that loss from a distance, but in VR you are right in front of the screen, and you would notice the resolution loss, which is most likely way worse then the possible small improvement of 120Hz.

ibins It runs at 120Hz at full resolution. It also has the Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is just an overclocked version of the 865 used in the Quest 2, so I think it should be able to play back 120Hz video just fine.
