spanker maybe this pimax 12k is going to be tetherless?
I believe the early info suggests that it can be both tethered & untethered, but that when operating untethered it would not be able to make full use of the display. A PC w/ a beefy GPU is always going to be able to pump out more resolution/etc. vs a microchip in-headset. But who knows, not much info has been released in general on it.
I've never personally used a Vive Focus 3, but I believe it's targeted a bit more at professionals & businesses as opposed to consumers. Not to say it couldn't or wouldn't be a great headset, but the price alone is a tough sell for me considering the likelihood of new headset launches in the next 12-18 months.
