The Quest 2 is probably still the best bang for buck solution. Although it has some limitations, like limited IPD adjustment, it is just a three step solution instead of being seemless, and a somewhat uncomfortable default headstrap.

I would recommend the 256GB version, if you wanna use it for porn and not just rely on streaming, as there unfortunately is no memory card slot.

HTC Vive focus 3 is based on the same SOC, but has a better screen and optics and a memory card slot, but it´s price is somewhat ridiculous.

For PC based VR the HP Reverb 2 is probably the best for porn and reasonably priced.
As an all around headset the Valve Index is probably still the best, it lacks the resolution compared to the newest best headsets, but you get a noticeable increased FOV compared to many other headsets, probably the best speakers on any headset and superb build quality with a very comfortable mounting solution, and you get this with Lighthouse tracking. Of course if you just wanna use it for videos you will not care about it.

It changes the relative size of objects in different distances to you. So if objects at 1m distance to you appear right to you but objects at 2m too small or too big compared to that adjusting the IPD can help.

Ideally the IPD of the camera would match your IPD and the lenses in the headset as well. But of course the IPD of the camera is fixed, and on your headset it depends on the model.
Small differences usually do not matter, but if the headset is completely different to your eyes it can become problematic, even so much, that the 2 stereoscopic images do not match in your brain and you see 2 overlapping images instead.

There is also a stereo overlap slider (I do not remember the exact description) in DeoVR/SLR-APP that can help and change the perceived size of objects in different distances

ibins it's very professional. What a nice person of you. quest 2 maybe my choice. Is there some other ways to adjust distance like (tilt or zoom) l just heard of that.. still thank you for posting that long comment to solve my problem bro 😃

does all this mean that in that movie - eyes wide shut....last scene where she is pretending to get her pussy licked for 2minutes, BUT she was about 2feet away, is due to camera/headset issues and NOT directed as such?

Tilt adjusts as the name implies the tilt of the scene. You can think of it as an offset to your head movements controlling where to look at the scene.

If the camera was not level at the time of shooting you can correct this.
For example usually in laying down cowgirl the video is often shot with the camera tilted upwards, because of the limited FOV (some are not even true 180°), if you would shoot with the camera level the girls head might get out of the frame if she comes close to you, and even if she barely stays in the frame it would mean you would see the distracting border of the image.
So they shoot with the camera tilted upwards, to use more of the available FOV to keep the girl in the picture.

Tilt is, for the lack of a better word "lossless", I mean with that, that there are no downsides, unlike most other image adjustments that usually can improve parts of the image but worsens others at the same time.

You could of course use zoom, but it is a plain 2D zoom, which makes the image simply look larger or smaller. The result of this is you can basically only get one focal plane perfect, and other focal planes appear either too small or to big with the same setting. As the action usually happens in e very similar distance the whole time it could be worth a try.

With the horizontal offset setting you basically shift the 2 separate images on the horizontal axis. This also can change perceived distance/size of things. Although it also has the problem being a 2D operation, which means you basically means you would need different settings for different distances to be perfect.

The best thing is, just try the different transformation adjustments, and look if the result looks better or worse to you.

ableman thank you so much. l cant believe you gibe this detailed comment! l wonder what's your favorite studio and video😬

Do you save your videos directly on the internal storage? For me it doesn't really matter if it's 64GB or 256GB. Both is just not enough.
I use external HDs connected to a computer with a DLNA server!

Yes I do, and some of the 8k 1h+ Videos can get pretty large, I am pretty sure you could not even one of that on the 64GB version, and maybe 1 on 128GB (depending how much other stuff you have installed). The good thing is that the Quest 2 storage is really fast, so transfering it only takes a minute or 2.

I use external HDs connected to a computer with a DLNA server!

I personally never found DLNA to be really reliable, and also really sluggish and cumbersome to browse once there is a decent amount of media on it. But if it works for you and you are satisfied why not.

tanders If it is "mainly" for porn, paying more for the version with more GB is useless (well, in theory).

You just need to have XBVR on your PC or NAS to make your "personal" streaming network (not depending on the internet, but only on the local network) and you have access to "all" the content available on the PC or NAS without being limited by the Quest's storage capacity and without having to absolutely invest in the 256GB version in order to be able to put the maximum amount of video and having to change every time you want a new video.
