I’ll have another look later. I don’t think it was totally convincing but wasn’t as bad as VRCX with their CGI backgrounds. This would be an interesting way around the passthrough thing if perfected a little more but, once you put the guy in the grey gimp suit, even ILM couldn’t come up with a CGI background that stops it from looking stupid.
I personally wouldn’t waste a ton of time and money on it if it’s purely for passthrough scenes as most of those scenes include the full body suit and this is not a viable alternative for those scenes. If you’re going to use it for story purposes in standard scenes so we can go to more exotic and/or sci-fi type locations then maybe it’s worth looking into more.
