We have managed to utilize the passthrough (Tron mode as they called it) on Vive Pro where one of the 4 variations of passthrough actually treats black color as alpha channel. That mode is called Opaque pass-through https://youtu.be/l9w5hAdWZP4
With that mode I am able to make videos with black background transparent. All the colored pixels of the video are visible while I am able to perceive my actual room. It certainly is surreal, meaning you can see your own dick, hands and legs right there with the porn performer. I often would adjust my real body part to match the performers body. I kid you not it is way better feeling of realism than the traditional way.

But the key logic here is just alpha channel elimination. Something like green screen but better. Green screen have too much artifacts and cause color bleeds.

We are looking for ways to introduce the feature in our player to enable you easily make it work. Please let me know if any suggestions

My guess why it worked cuz it's plain color walls in this case white walls with no pictures.

But, maybe black works best 🤷‍♂️

I heard quest suppose to add a pass threw fader option to adjust how much passthrough you allow.

I just started using the passthrough feature and I am blown away by how amazing it is.

It works with the Quest and the Index as far as I know. Maybe it works with other headsets too that have a camera on the front. If you have the index turn on the 3d camera feature and download this video https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/private-dance-with-haley-spades-22146

The performer is in YOUR ROOM. it is mind blowing when you watch it for the first time. There are other dark background videos that also work well but this one by far was the most stunning. This also works well for VirtAmate. Just amazing stuff. I hope studios start filming with darker backgrounds for passthrough/AR. This is the future I am sure of it.

In DeoVR / Sleep App it works with every video, but works best with videos that have black or dark backgrounds.

Set up the stationary guardian.

Set up the „Add Your Couch to VR“ or whatever the option is called in the Experimental Settings.

Make the couch as small as you can.

During a video, Leave the Stationary Boundary area and go to the couch, but sit outside of the couch enough to where of the room starts to blend with the VR image. And just move accordingly to get the balance of room to VR right and it will be here as if the address is in your space.

This is the most important part. You have to adjust the horizontal alignment in the Apps‘ video options to get the right scaling and distance of the actress. Just play with the video settings.
