I have the same problem. I think it is a buffer issue.
For me the vrcam starts and then after 3 seconds nothing. Alot of users experience the same thing. You need Min 50Mbps download speed for it to work half the time. Really you need 100Mbps for a decent experience.
There needs to be a setting to change the resolution for vrcams? Not sure why this hasn't been done like in vr videos.
Until then only users close to server can use vrcams.
