Sad but not surprising. It starts with one sense of freedom being stripped for a "greater cause," then the next year it's something else. Sounds like a porn mandate to me, with not just unforeseen boosters every 3-6 months but unforetold "booted" material every few months.

Disclaimers at the start of each film should do the trick I would hope. Something like "All actors in this scene have willingly and fully consented to role-playing and have not been seriously harmed in the making of this film."

Everyone has their own threshold of pleasure and pain, and instead of allowing this freedom of expression in the form of kinks, taboos, and unexplored potential, we're cutting it off, essentially creating more of the sexual repression porn was intended to safely release in the first place, as well as diminishing any other creative aspects that we enjoy with no harm being done, like watching a woman's ass in bed as she sleeps in the dark. Many of us skip the pissing, the x-virtual, the grannies, the fisting, the bdsm, the many other tags, but there is beauty in diversity and choice. It's understandable the concern, but if we/they can't stand by this, then at some point we will not be able to stand by "All models in this scene are 18+" because they will not allow it, judging by how young example these jav models are looking. It's not an issue now, but it will be in just a matter of time, and for other perceptual issues. Just like there is a population of people who three years ago were immunity-wise no different than they are now, yet are facing all manner of discrimination and ostracization from society from not meeting the new and forced demands of vaccines, the same will happen for these innocent models and their fan-base for not meeting the "redefined" criteria of what porn "should" look like. This is what I feel is happening now with these compliances.

But hey, things change, we all change, and will still have options. Hopefully we can keep our jobs if we don't go along with the bs and hopefully we can keep 40% of our paying members who could care-less about an outer portrayal of "porn wellness" when it is already experienced by way of our subscription.     Please understand some things come from the outside and we have no option but to proceed with what is the right thing to do. Of course we are the first one who don't like that as we believe all the SLR content is compliant in its essence, yet we need to make sure it's formally compliant.

        Sucks to hear about any content being removed, but especially over something stupid like censorship. I personally can't stand any non-consensual scenes, but these scenes are still pretend and I feel it's much better that people get their non-consensual kicks by watching pretend scenes rather than for real.

        Very disappointing that out of, for example, an hour long scene if the unwanted content is only in it for a few minutes then that might cause the whole scene to be removed. Any advance warning about which scenes will be removed, and any options or efforts given to us to help keep as much content up as possible, are all much appreciated.

        I do think you should share a list of titles for 7 days so any downloads can be made before its too late

            LordCrash I do stream, but have always been worried about the risk of scenes being deleted (whether a studio decides to leave, or something unexpected like this). Hence why I asked about having some idea of what's being removed so downloads can be done ahead of time (I assume others here asking for the same use SLR in a similar way to me). Might be off-topic here as I can see why that wouldn't be possible for 'compliance' issues, but would be nice to have for other stuff.

                I can understand all the frustration. Mounting the pressure isn't helpful at all. I'd appreciate some understanding for the sake of frank communication.

                We are working on the issue and there will be more updates coming. We are on the same boat with you and removing content doesn't work great for us.

                Yet we respect the reason why it's so and will cooperate to have things right. If you can't take things as they are find yourself another place without adding even more pressure on us.

                            doublevr When I'm full of coffee and vigor in the morning, I wonder if it'd be worth it to keep a list of content that had to be cut or edited in order to be allowed, as evidence of how much such things get regulated. Someday there might be a movement to get some of these rules changed, but honestly the vast majority of porn consumers in the US have no idea that their providers can't show whatever they want.
                            People who paid $1000+ for a lifetime membership (and too much time in the morning, as you can see here) might be the kind of people who would be motivated to sign a petition or write a congressperson, if they knew that silly outdated bank rules are the reason they can't get decent BDSM or piss videos (or what have you).

                            Just curiosity, would that kind of censorship (in the technical sense) or content curation be done by SLR, or the studio? Do you need to check everything, or does a whole studio get put on notice until they fix their own uploads?
